There are certainly no passes with countless hairpin bends and meters of altitude to conquer here, rather this region offers a variety of impressive hill landscapes with small winding side roads through an unspoilt scenery with little traffic.
Experiencing this region on a motorbike is a combination of daily cornering, hearty cuisine and wonderful hospitality.
The meeting point for our tour is Dresden. The evening together gives us the opportunity to get to know the other participants and our tour guide will make you curious about the upcoming tours.
We drive through the eastern edge of the Saxon Switzerland National Park and cross the border to the Czech Republic here. The landscape remains the same only the name changes - on the Czech side it is called Bohemian Switzerland. Around noon we reach the Pekelné Doly biker cave, a well-known biker meeting place in the middle of an impressive sandstone cave.
After our stop we continue to Jestěd, with its 1012 m height it is the highest elevation in the Jeschken Mountains in northern Bohemia. At the top we can enjoy a wonderful 360° panorama.
The first destination of the day is the famous winter sports resort Spindleruv Mlyn in the Giant Mountains. Situated at the foot of the Schneekoppe there are countless ski slopes and small cafés invite you to linger. This region is very well developed for tourism and therefore perfect roads with the best asphalt await us. In the late afternoon we reach our hotel in the Bohemian-Moravian border region.
Today's tour takes us to the southern end of the Bavarian Forest. Our way leads along well-known cities like Budweis and Krumau at the Vltava. In the midst of untouched nature with unique flora and fauna we cross idyllic villages and seemingly endless forests. At the end of the day we reach the Lipno reservoir, affectionately called the Bohemian Sea.
Experience together with us the wonderful curves in the Šumava, a 120 km long mountain range that winds along the Czech-German border. We can expect pure driving fun on small winding roads with the best asphalt.
For tonight we have chosen a first class hotel in Marienbad. After our arrival and a refreshment we will explore on foot the historical old town and let ourselves be spoiled by an excellent kitchen. Typical Czech specialities such as roast bacon with cabbage and dumplings will delight you!
On our last day of the tour we will drive through West Bohemia with the famous spa resorts Karlsbad and Marienbad. The landscape here is dominated by numerous gorges that meander through rocky areas with steep walls. It's time to say goodbye to the Czech Republic. Our hotel is located in the curve paradise Vogtland and you can be sure that even the last kilometres will be a real curve magic.
Today we have to say goodbye. Exciting days lie behind us and 1400 kilometers of driving are connected with it. No goodbye forever, the next adventure is already waiting for us!
