On this round trip we change again and again between Portugal and the green north of Spain. The Duero River meanders from its source in the mountains of northern Spain to its mouth in the Atlantic Ocean near Porto.

Arrived at the airport in Porto our shuttle to the hotel is waiting for you and from now on your holiday can begin. The evening together gives us the opportunity to get to know the other participants and our tour guide will make you curious about the upcoming tours.
It is only a few kilometres that separate Portugal from Spain. We will use the winding side roads of northern Portugal to reach Santiago de Compostela in the late afternoon, the destination of all pilgrims who have walked the Way of St. James. We spend the evening in the historic old town with its tempting bars, restaurants and a unique tapas culture
Today there is no change of hotel and after breakfast we start for the tour to the Costa da Morte, the so called Coast of Death. Here we experience a landscape full of contrasts. Hundreds of ships stranded on this coast on the rocky ground and lost the fight against the wild sea. Small bays with their white sandy beaches and azure blue water will be our constant companions.
Today has a lot to offer, we are heading south towards Portugal and the winding roads will never end. Again and again we will meet pilgrims from all over the world, friendly gestures and nice conversations create a lively atmosphere that you cannot escape. We cross the border to Portugal in the middle of the National Park Peneda- Gerês. Look forward to a mountainous landscape with its picturesque villages where traditions and customs have been almost completely preserved.
In the morning we will be on our way on perfect curved tracks along numerous hills, and from noon onwards the rugged gorges of the course of the Duero River await us. Experience the unique beauty of the Douro Valley on the Portuguese and Spanish side. Look forward to small stops with a view, it's all about ups and downs. Strong nerves are an advantage, those who don't have them can watch from a distance.
Along the Duero river and winding side roads we reach our accommodation in the afternoon, surrounded by the countless vineyards that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Lovely landscapes like in Tuscany or the high mountains of the Maritime Alps - there is a little bit of everything and therefore enough for a day full of riding fun. Small but nice is the motto here and you can look forward to accommodation that is unique and has a lot to offer.
Today's route combines such different landscapes that it is difficult to describe them. We will start on small side roads through the lovely Douro valley with its vineyards and a short time later we will be riding on the over 1000 meter high mountains of the Serra de Montemuro. The further way leads us to the Serra Estrela, the only ski area in Portugal, where breathtaking views of the region open up from the 1993 meter high peak of the Torre.
After a fantastic breakfast we start on winding and steep mountain routes with up to 20% ascents and descents. In the late afternoon we reach the rough Atlantic coast and thus a "hot spot" of the country, in front of us lies the Mecca of surfers. Here the surfers are looking for the perfect wave every day, we don't need to look for it anymore, we have been surfing our "perfect wave" for days. We spend the evening in a small restaurant by the sea and a good meal with fresh fish and a Vino Verde will complete the day perfectly.
Today's tour leads us on small side roads through 2 mountain landscapes with their endless eucalyptus forests. In the afternoon we arrive in Porto, it is the city of port wine and the countless port wine cellars invite you to taste their wines. Together we spend the last evening in a city that never sleeps.
Today it is time to say goodbye to Portugal. No goodbye forever because the next adventure is already waiting for us.
On our tours we are basically only with one group. Our tour groups are deliberately kept small and limited to 10 motorcycles. The minimum number of participants is 6 persons.
