To look for the best beyond these borders and of course to find it, that is the goal of this motorcycle trip. Unknown passes, small winding roads, remote valleys between steep mountain sides of glistening granite, plus a dash of Italian lifestyle with air-dried ham and delicious cappuccino - that's Friuli.
Clean torrents that shimmer turquoise through the white karst, lonely national parks with almost untouched forests where bears are still at home can be found in Slovenia. Gentle foothills of the Alps at first, behind them the mountains, nicely folded up and up to three thousand meters high.
Amidst the lush green valleys, the Carinthian lakes shine in the sunlight. On its slightly rippled surface, the peaks of the stone giants are reflected: typically Austrian. And once again, the well-known proverb "All good things come in threes" has proven itself.
