We meet at our facility in Cali at 8:00 AM. After sorting out paperwork and bike hand-over we make our way South through sugar cane plantations in the Cauca Valley. About 50 km south of Cali we head into the mountains on a beautiful curvy highway. We arrive early afternoon to Popayan (the white walled city) in time to check out the sites of the city and surrounding areas.
Popayan to Silvia to Cali – The return trip to Cali offer some nice sections of dirt road in the mountains. This is Guambiano indian territory and we’ll see many locals working the fields in their traditional colorful clothing. We’ll also go through coffee growing Morales and visit all black village Suarez before making it back to Cali in the late Afternoon.
