We stay in mid-range hotels. We always opt for the best option available – clean, safe and practical location.
Temperatures can vary between 12 to 40°C (53.6 F to 104°F). Temperatures can drop for a short period going over the mountains passes.
It is recommended to ride with ventilated riding gear. A pull over rain suite is a good idea to carry against mountain temperatures and possible short rain showers that can occur year round.
Any departure date can be requested/booked if availability allows

Day 1

Fly-in to Cali. Motolombia staff pick you up at the airport and bring you to the hotel. Depending on what time in the day you arrive, we will meet to sort out paperwork and prep the bikes. A group briefing meeting will be arranged once the last rider has arrived.

Day 2

Cali to Darien – After breakfast we get ready to ride into the western Andes mountain range. We will spend some time in the morning trying out some nice single trails near Cali to test the skill level of the group, before heading north in the mountains towards Lago Calima. We spend the night in the tranquil, and traditional Colombian puelo Darien on the lake side.

Day 3

Darien to Pueblo Tapao - Today we have a fairly long day in very varied terrain. We will get some technical tracks and trails in the mountains and some fast sections in the Cauca Valley later in the day. We cross cattle farms and coffee plantations and arrive in time for a well deserved shower and dinner in tiny Coffee grower village Pueblo Tapao. The hotel has a great pool.

Day 4

Pueblo Tapao to Salento - ll have to do a few miles on pavement in the morning to reach the central mountain range of the Andes where we will discover Salento and the beautiful surroundings with the famous Cocora Valley where the national tree the worlds tallests vax palms grow. We check out the sites in the nearby area in the afternoon and can get a taste of the amazing single trails in the area.

Day 5

Salento and surroundings – depending on the energy of the group we can do many different rides in the area around Salento. This is an area that was used to the Hard enduro race Los Andes and for good reason. The difficulty level of the terrain range from hard enduro experts to mountain tracks for the less experienced and the views are mind blowing.

Day 6

Salento to Cali – We have time today to ride and explore some hours until lunch. This gives us time to visit the Corora valley or a working coffee farm in the area for an interesting tour. Around noon we will be back at the hotel for a quick shower and change. After check out we load the bikes on to the trailer or transporter, have lunch and then return to Cali in the support vehicle. This is a 3 hour drive on the highway. We arrive in Cali to finalize the trip around 5 PM and a transfer to the departure hotel will be ready from Motolombia`s offices.

Day 7

Fly-out from Cali – Motolombia staff will take you to the airport in time for your flight. If you wish to stay longer we are happy to help you make arrangements. We strongly suggest visiting Cartagena for a day or two before or after the Motorcycle trip.
