More details

Insurance: The motorcycles are insured against third party liability. In case of damage to the vehicle, caused by own fault, the material costs must be borne by the causer. There is the possibility for 20 euros / day a comprehensive insurance with a deductible of 1000 euros, conclude.
The island of Evia: The charming island of Evia (Euboea) is full of surprises. It is the second largest island in Greece and yet one of the most unknown. Evia is divided into the northern, central and southern parts and each area has its own character. The north of Evia is characterized by green hills and mountains interspersed with forested plateaus and valleys. The deciduous and pine forests cool the middle of the island and the south is completely different with a beautiful hinterland and deep gorges.
Tour character: This is an adventure tour in which we alternate between unpaved and small paved country roads "off the beaten track". The tours mostly lead through rural areas and are planned in length so that there is enough time and possibility to stop on the way, take pictures or visit villages. Authentic and traditional Greek highlights and varied routes make for a fantastic and unique motorcycle adventure in Greece.
ALLROAD routes: We will ride a lot of small country roads and sometimes we move on dirt roads, like gravel roads through the mountains, forests and along the sea. Most of the time these are rocky but well passable. Busy roads are avoided where possible, although it is necessary on some short sections. No difficult tracks are ridden, so the tour is suitable for any experienced motorcyclist who is not afraid of gravel and loves to travel and explore. However, a basic off-road training is always useful as a preparation. It will teach you how to best handle your motorcycle off-road. It will certainly increase your riding pleasure. The motorcycles are light and handy perfect for the dirt roads.
Climate: Evia has a Mediterranean climate with a mild winter and hot and mostly dry summers. From mid-May to mid-September at the latest, it remains mostly dry and hot in summer in the coastal regions. In the many mountainous regions it rains rather more and the temperatures are adapted to the altitudes (about 6 degrees cooler). The last remnants of snow can still be seen until May. While it is very green in April and May, the landscape has changed in September and October in many places in brown tones. In October with the more frequent rain, (do not worry, it is not so much) the landscape is very green again and by the mild temperatures prevails immediately again spring mood.
Clothing: A helmet is mandatory, as well as protective clothing with protectors, good gloves and boots or sturdy shoes. Because of the temperatures it is recommended to wear breathable protective clothing. Make sure that your jacket and trousers are sufficiently ventilated. We recommend a "Dual Sport/Adventure" helmet or an open face enduro helmet with goggles that provide good protection against dust. Note that a closed visor is warm and the enduro helmet with its visor also provides the necessary shade for the eyes. Furthermore, a good pair of sunglasses is of course practical. Expect it to be a bit colder in the mountains. However, the weather is usually good in Greece, even in the mountains, and any rain is often soon replaced by bright warm sunshine.
Travel documents: For this trip you need a valid driver's license and a passport or ID card.
Language: This offer is usually suitable for English and/or German speaking participants. We will gladly provide binding information upon request.
Mobility: The offer is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Please contact us for more information.

We take the ferry from Rafina to Marmari and start in the south of the island Evia. In four days we ride through the beautiful, breathtaking landscapes of the island. It goes from south to north and back to Eretria, from where we take the ferry back to the mainland. Most of the riding days we end at the sea. We ride through barren mountains, riverbeds, forests, through fishing villages and along the sea. We are on different terrains and everything is well rideable.

We know the best routes and enjoy it. With handy rental motorcycles and supported by an experienced guide, we will ride through unique landscapes and get to incredible places. Besides the off-road experience, the "Evia Island Tour" will offer the best of tourist. Comfortable accommodations, cultural diversity with traditions and of course the richness of Greek gastronomy, will give you an unforgettable motorcycle adventure near the sea. Discover with us this hidden jewel on the motorcycle.

This journey from day to day:

Arrival Athens and transfer to the hotel in Rafina (about 30 min ride). Rafina is a small pretty harbour town where the market place is bustling in the evening. In the harbour itself tavernas invite you to dine. Depending on the time of arrival it is possible to visit Athens and the Acropolis.

Within an hour early in the morning we take the ferry from Rafina to Marmari in the south of the island of Evia. Here there are bare mountain landscapes and fertile plains with vineyards. The Dimosari river rises from the Ochi mountains and finds its way through a deep gorge to the sea. We alternate between gravel roads and small asphalt roads, passing through authentic villages and untouched landscapes. We spend the night on the coast in Limnionas, a fishing village. The taverns, framed by mountain slopes, have their own limited beach and offer particularly good and fresh fish. Not bad to end the day here.

We follow our route north along the coast. It never gets boring here as we ride along the winding roads. We cross the island and enter the northern part where there are more densely forested mountains. We spend the night in Edipsos, probably the most famous spa town of the Greeks from ancient times until today. It is a really nice little town with warm people. It is right by the sea and optionally we can jump into the cool water and enjoy the great local food.

Now we head south along the coast again. We again enjoy the route off the main roads and ride on quiet back roads through remote villages and charming landscapes. We follow the route inland and spend the night in the "centre of the island" in the charming mountain village of Steni.

On the last day of this motorcycle tour, we ride along small roads in the mountains all the way to the coast to Eretria. This village is famous for its ancient theatre, acropolis and temple of Apollo. We take the ferry and ride south on the mainland back to Rafina.

Today we say goodbye to each other. You will get a transfer to El.Venizelos airport - Athens or if you like you can extend. If you would like to have a little more Enduro experience, you can also book a designated Enduro training with us.
