No Russia Tours – A Message to Our Russian Friends: #StandWithUkraine

We've paused every Russia tour in our program — not only because international flights are suspended, but out of solidarity with Ukraine. Here's what it means for booked travelers and our Russian friends.

Our Decision: No More Russia Tours

We've taken every motorcycle tour to Russia off our program — every route, every itinerary, every inquiry that had Russia as its destination. This wasn't an easy decision for us. Russia has long been a fascinating destination for many riders: the vastness of Siberia, Lake Baikal, the roads between Moscow and the Caucasus. That's exactly why this step matters, and why we didn't take it lightly. Effective immediately and until further notice, we are not offering any trips to Russia, neither on our own platform nor through our partners. We ask anyone currently looking for a Russia tour for their understanding — and warmly invite you to choose one of the many other destinations in our program instead.

More Than a Question of Logistics

The immediate trigger is obvious: international flights to Russia are suspended, and many of the travel arrangements a tour depends on simply can't be organized right now. That alone would be reason enough to adjust our program. But it isn't the only reason behind our decision. With this step, we also want to add our own — modest — contribution to the international measures against the Russian government, and to send a clear signal. We're aware that these measures also affect people who oppose this war themselves, who reject it and suffer because of it. That troubles us. Even so, we currently see no practical alternative that matches our position.

What This Means If You've Already Booked

If you've already booked a Russia tour with us, you'll hear from us personally in the coming days. We're going through every booking individually, talking with you about your situation, and working out a fair solution together. That might mean rebooking to a different destination, postponing to a later date, or, if neither option fits, a full refund. You don't need to do anything or reach out yourself — we'll come to you as quickly as we can. It matters to us that no one who trusted us enough to book is left with open questions, especially in a situation none of us wanted.

To Our Russian Friends

One thing matters especially to us: we ask our Russian friends, colleagues, and customers for their understanding. We know this well: Russia is not Putin, and Putin is not Russia. We firmly believe that the vast majority of people in Russia do not stand behind their president's order to invade a neighboring country. This decision is not directed against you personally. It's a signal we're sending out of solidarity with Ukraine, not a judgment of the Russian people. We wish you strength, through whatever means are open to you, to stand up for reason, for peace, and for bringing this war to an end as soon as possible. We hope you'll understand it for what it is: an expression of respect, not rejection.

Our Thoughts Are With Ukraine

To our friends in Ukraine, we wish above all one thing: strength to get through these dramatic and dangerous weeks, and to survive them. Many of you we know personally, from tours, from inquiries, from projects we've worked on together — and you are very much on our minds these days. If you'd like to help yourself, we can recommend Libereco – Partnership for Human Rights, an independent German-Swiss non-governmental organization that has worked since 2009 to protect human rights in Ukraine and Belarus. Libereco brings public attention to the cases of persecuted individuals, supports a free and independent civil society on the ground, and offers concrete ways for you to help, directly or indirectly, even from a distance.

What We Hope For Afterward

We all wish for the same thing: to meet again in peace, soon — on the road, off-road, in Ukraine just as much as in Russia. Until then, our position stays clear and unchanged: no Russia tours, full solidarity with Ukraine, and an open ear for anyone affected by this decision, whichever side they're on. If you have questions about your booking, or simply want to talk to us, reach out any time. We're here for you.
