Namibia Motorcycle Tour on a Rental Enduro

Your Namibia motorcycle tour begins in the southern foothills of the Auas Mountains at our own Windhoek Mountain Lodge, the base station for all Gravel Travel tours in Namibia. After acclimatizing, picking up your bike, and a roughly 100 km familiarization ride, you set off on the Namibia Classic: this guided motorcycle tour first crosses the Kalahari Desert, follows the Orange River to the Fish River Canyon, continues to the dunes of Sossusvlei, and finally passes through Swakopmund into Damaraland — accompanied throughout by German-speaking guides and mechanics.

Highlights

Fish River Canyon

Ride alongside the world's second-largest canyon on this leg of your motorcycle tour: over 100 kilometers long, with deep gorges and sweeping views across southern Namibia that make this one of the most memorable stages of the trip.

Sossusvlei Dune Sea

This stage of your Namibia motorcycle tour brings you to the tallest sand dunes on Earth. Among camel thorn trees and the legendary color play of the Namib Desert, you'll experience one of the most spectacular landscapes of your Namibia Classic.

Damaraland Offroad

In the wild and romantic Damaraland, your Namibia motorcycle tour leads through dry riverbeds, past desert elephants, and over the striking Brandberg massif, Namibia's highest mountain, on this unforgettable off-road stage.

Kalahari Desert Tracks

This Kalahari stage of your Namibia motorcycle tour takes you over graded gravel tracks through thornbush savanna and a belt of red-orange dunes, passing Giant's Playground and the quiver tree forest near Gariganus.

Mount Etjo Game Reserve

At the Mount Etjo Game Reserve, your Namibia motorcycle tour reaches its wildlife climax: giraffes, zebras, and rhinos can be spotted right at the lodge before you head back toward Windhoek to close out the trip.
