Guided Algarve Motorcycle Tour: Coast & Mountains

The Algarve motorcycle tour means four riding days between the Atlantic coast and the hinterland of the Algarve, starting and ending each day in Albufeira. After the transfer from Faro airport, you check into your room at the 4-star Hotel Regency Salgados and meet your group and the two German- and English-speaking tour guides at the get-together. The planned off-road motorcycle tour of the Algarve runs over easy to moderate unpaved tracks, while the coastal route motorcycle tour follows the Atlantic cliffs. Every day you decide for yourself whether you ride on-road or off-road – in small groups of a maximum of six riders.

Algarve Coastal Route

On the Algarve coastal route motorcycle tour you ride along rugged cliffs and hidden coves of the Atlantic coast. Winding paved sections alternate with light gravel stretches, so you can enjoy the coastline at your own pace.

Off-Road in the Hinterland

The off-road motorcycle tour of the Algarve takes you off the tourist routes through cork oak forests and small villages inland. On unpaved tracks you test your riding skills at an easy to moderate level, with the option of paved roads.

Mount Fóia Mountain Tour

The climb to Mount Fóia is one of the highlights of any Algarve motorcycle tour: winding hairpin bends take you to the highest point of the region with views over the south coast. At the top you take a break before heading back down into the valley.

Almodóvar Cork Oak Tour

Near Almodóvar, the cork oak tour takes you through wide Alentejo landscapes with centuries-old cork oak trees. This stage of the guided Algarve motorcycle tour shows you the rural side of Portugal away from the coast, quiet and unspoiled.

Small Group, Full Service

A maximum of six riders share the tour with two guides, who split the group if needed. Your Algarve motorcycle holiday includes full service for the rental motorcycle as well as fully comprehensive insurance with a 1000 euro deductible.

Your Algarve motorcycle tour begins with arrival at Faro airport. Available options are the BMW F750 GS, F850 GS and R 1250 GS, the DUCATI DesertX, and the YAMAHA Ténéré, all including full service. You can also bring your own motorcycle.
