Guided Scotland Tour: Isle of Skye & Highlands

Your Scotland motorcycle tour begins with an individual arrival at our starting hotel in the Düsseldorf area. Check-in is possible until 6 pm. After the welcome and tour presentation, the evening ends with dinner together.

On this stage of our Scotland motorcycle round trip we set off in small groups to the ferry from Ijmuiden to Newcastle. After settling into our cabins, we enjoy the sea crossing and dinner together on board before the ferry departs at 5:30 pm towards Newcastle.

After arriving in Newcastle, the active part of our guided Scotland motorcycle tour begins along the east coast towards Edinburgh. Photo stops at Warkworth and Bamburgh Castle plus a detour to Holy Island are included, before we cross the Firth of Forth at the Forth Bridge to Kinross.

This stage of our Highlands motorcycle tour runs through Cairngorms National Park along the legendary Malt Whisky Trail to Dufftown, including a stop at a distillery. From there we continue via Carrbridge and Inverness to our hotel in Strathpeffer.

Passing photogenic lochs we reach the Applecross peninsula and cross the exposed Bealach na Ba pass to Eilean Donan Castle. On the way back, this Loch Ness motorcycle stage takes us past the famous loch back to Strathpeffer.

After breakfast we set off on single-track roads into the northwest of the country. Lonely lochs and wild coastal sections invite you to linger, before we ride back to Strathpeffer via the fishing town of Ullapool.

This own-motorcycle stage of the tour runs via Loch Carron and Kyle onto the Isle of Skye. Via the town of Portree we reach sights such as Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock and The Quiraing, before continuing to our hotel in Kyle.

We say goodbye to the Isle of Skye towards Fort Augustus and pass Eilean Donan Castle once again. A detour to the Falls of Foyers and the Glenfinnan Monument is on the programme, before a ferry across Loch Linnhe takes us to Onich.

Shortly after setting off we circle Loch Leven, before the Glen Coe stage takes us through the dramatic high valley that has served as the backdrop for many films. Via Inveraray and Helensburgh we reach our last overnight stay in Glasgow.

On this onroad stage we say farewell to Scotland heading towards Galashiels. Time permitting, Abbotsford House, Melrose Abbey, Jedburgh Abbey and Kielder Water reservoir lie along the way to the ferry at Newcastle.

After the ferry arrives around 10 am, we continue this motorcycle tour towards Düsseldorf and ride to our last overnight stay in the Düsseldorf area. Over dinner together we look back on the past days once more.

From our starting hotel in the Düsseldorf area, everyone begins their individual journey home. On the way home, memories of stages such as the Malt Whisky Trail will stay vivid for a long time.
