### Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Upon landing at Hanoi’s airport, you have the option to exchange money or withdraw cash from ATMs, benefiting from a favorable exchange rate (1€ ≈ 25,000 VND). With its population of six million and a flood of scooters, Hanoi’s traffic leaves a lasting impression. Our hotel is located in the city’s Old Quarter, characterized by French colonial architecture reminiscent of Paris. Streets vary from broad boulevards to narrow lanes crowded with vendors and parked scooters, yet the atmosphere remains relaxed thanks to the calm demeanor of the locals. A stroll around the nearby Hoan Kiem Lake offers a peaceful introduction to the city.

### Day 2: Ride to Vu Linh (~170 km)

Our riding adventure begins as we navigate through Hanoi’s traffic on the Honda CRF 250cc motorcycles. The busy city traffic soon gives way to quieter roads alongside the Red River, where vibrant rice fields and banana plantations line the route. The terrain transitions across asphalt, concrete, and stretches of gravel and dirt paths. After about 50 km, we pause at a small village before reaching Vu Linh, a Dao minority village comprising 26 houses located beside a tranquil pond surrounded by rice fields and palm groves. Here, we stay in a traditional stilt house homestay, sleeping on mats sheltered by mosquito nets. A hot shower is available to refresh after the dusty ride. Nearby, we plan a unique boat trip on That Ba Lake, where locals row boats with their feet, and fresh fish from the lake might grace our dinner table.

### Day 3: Off-Road to Luc Yen (~85 km)

Waking to the sounds of quacking ducks, we start the day with a traditional Vietnamese breakfast before setting out along the shores of Thac Ba Lake, the largest lake in Vietnam. We pause frequently to capture the spectacular mountain views. A short off-road section takes us through local villages where schoolchildren on bicycles wave and encourage us. The day ends in Luc Yen, home to the Tay ethnic minority, where we have free time to explore by motorcycle before spending the night in another homestay.

### Day 4: Journey to Ha Giang (~170 km)

Leaving more populated areas behind, we enter the dramatic karst mountain region of Ha Giang province, known for its rugged and scenic landscapes. Here, we will arrange the necessary permits to continue northward toward the Chinese border. Accommodation for the night is in a local hotel.

### Day 5: Ha Giang to Meo Vac (~165 km)

This day offers an exhilarating ride through mountainous terrain. Following a river valley from Ha Giang, we ascend winding roads up to the Cong Troi (Heaven’s Gate), boasting panoramic vistas of verdant hills and striking karst cliffs. Descending into a gorge, we encounter villages inhabited by the 'Flower Hmong' ethnic group, providing opportunities for cultural interaction and photography. Continuing to Yen Minh, we may observe the "White Hmong" people working in vibrant traditional attire. The landscape shifts into striking black jagged rocks interspersed with maize fields as we approach Meo Vac near the Chinese border, where we overnight in a homestay.

### Day 6: Ba Be National Park (~200 km)

We traverse one of the most impressive karst landscapes, characterized by deep gorges and imposing limestone peaks. Morning mist lends an ethereal quality to the scenery as we descend a winding road, known locally as the ‘Road of Happiness,’ gripping the mountainside. Following rivers through rice terraces and banana groves, we reach the Ba Be National Park area, where the terrain softens into gently rolling hills. Here, we load our motorcycles onto a boat to explore the lake and continue to our homestay, located beside a river with access to tropical rainforest surroundings. A short walk to a nearby village or waterfall offers a relaxing afternoon.

### Day 7: Ba Be to Cao Bang (~150 km)

Our motorcycles return to the boat for a scenic lake transfer before riding on roads that become more trafficked as we approach the Chinese border. The winding route showcases a blend of natural beauty and increasing human activity. After two nights in homestays, we spend tonight in a hotel in Cao Bang.

### Day 8: Karst Mountains to Quang Uyen (~160 km)

The karst landscapes reappear in the northeasternmost province of Vietnam. The route is a continuous series of curves and hills, emphasizing the country’s dramatic geology. Along a river that forms part of the China-Vietnam border, we reach the Ban Gioi waterfalls—a popular spot for both Vietnamese and Chinese visitors, separated by the river’s course. Rafts ferry visitors to the midpoint, but Chinese tourists are not permitted to step on Vietnamese soil. After an eventful day, we stay overnight in a homestay in Quang Uyen, enjoying authentic local cuisine.

### Day 9: Off-road Journey to Lang Son (~150 km)

Continuing southward, the verdant karst formations remain a constant companion. Along the route, encounters with cheerful schoolchildren, water buffalo, and free-roaming livestock add to the rural charm. The road includes dusty sections and gravel paths, manageable with our motorcycles. Arriving in Lang Son early allows time to explore the town and shop. Accommodation is in a hotel.

### Day 10: Return to Hanoi (~160 km)

The landscape gradually softens into rolling hills dotted with colorful homes featuring balconies and intricate façades reminiscent of small palaces. The day's ride winds through picturesque rice fields before reaching Hanoi.

### Day 11: Rest Day in Hanoi

This free day offers the chance to complete any last-minute shopping for souvenirs or to immerse yourself in Hanoi’s rich culture through visits to museums or temples. Alternatively, enjoy the city’s unique ambiance from a street-side café, observing the vibrant traffic—a fascinating mix of scooters and families navigating the bustling streets.

### Day 12: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your journey home, taking with you unforgettable memories from an exceptional motorcycle tour in Vietnam.
