The outback with its famous landmark Ayers Rock (Uluru) and the Olgas are in stark contrast to the vegetation of the first days. The Flinders Range makes the outback experience perfect before the winding mountain roads in the deep green Grampians N.P. take us back into another world. Day 1: Arrival in Darwin
Arrival in the morning. Transfer to the hotel. There's a welcome dinner coming up today.
Day 2: Darwin - Kakadu NP - Jabiru, 255 km
Take over the motorcycles, ride to the fascinating Kakadu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It captivates by a unique variety of flora and fauna.
Day 3: Free day in Kakadu National Park
Today's free day allows you to explore the national park. There is also a boat trip, with good chances to see crocodiles and many other species.
Day 4: Jabiru - Katherine, 275 km
Visit the 20 million years old Nitmiluk National Park, boat trip through Katherine Gorge.
Day 5: Katherine - Tennant Creek, 670 km
Along the Stuart Highway towards Tennant Creek. We pass many small villages and the famous windmills near Newcastle Waters. Visit the Tennant Creek Gallery with numerous Aboriginal artworks.
Day 6: Tennant Creek - Alice Springs, 508 km
Today you reach the heart of Australia, Alice Springs in the outback! The city is also starting point to the famous Devils Marbels and Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Day 7: Free day in Alice Springs
Today you can explore Alice Springs, visit the art galleries, historical museums or just relax.
Day 8: Alice Springs - Kings Canyon, 470 km
The Kings Canyon is a very spectacular destination, here you can take a walk through the canyon at sunset.
Day 9: Kings Canyon - Uluru, 306 km
Today, our trip to one of the most impressive natural phenomena of the world: Uluru or Ayers Rock takes approximately half a day.
Day 10: Free day in Uluru
On today's free day you can choose between a ride to the famous Olgas, a hike through the Valley of the Wind, a helicopter flight, a camel ride and much more!
Day 11: Uluru - Coober Pedy, 750 km
Today South Australia awaits us, we ride through the vast bush along the Stuart Highway, through a lonely region with salt lakes.
Day 12: Coober Pedy - Oodnadatta, 195 km
Today starts with a visit to an opal mine (Old Timers Mine and Museum), at noon we ride the famous Oodnadatta Track and of course we stop at the famous Pink Roadhouse.
Day 13: Oodnadatta - Maree, 410 km
Further along the Oodnadatte Track we soon reach Australia's smallest town, William Creek. Take a dip in the warm waters of Coward Springs before we ride through Mutonia Sculpture Park in Alberrie Creek.
Day 14: Maree - Blinman, 215 km
Before we get back on the mopeds you can make a spectacular flight over Lake Eyre. After some km on asphalt the typical red sand road of the Flinders Range National Park awaits us until Blinman.
Day 15: Free day in Blinman
Today we use the day to explore the Finders Range N.P. Unique landscapes and motorcycle tracks like the Blinman-Parachilna track, Wilpena Pond or the Brachina Gorge make the day especially impressive.
Day 16: Blinman - Lyndoch/Barossa Valley, 430 km
The tour continues south, through the tranquil Clare Valley and into one of the country's most famous wine regions, the Barossa Valley - the landscape and the route could not be more contrasting!
Day 17: Lyndoch/Barossa Valley - Robe, 340 km
Another motorcyclist highlight awaits us with the Adelaide Hills. After the mighty Murray River, crystal blue lagoons, sand dunes and lakes welcome us to Coorong N.P.
Day 18: Robe - Halls Gap 340 km
Grampians N.P., which is over 400 million years old, captivates visitors with its deep fern forests, lakes, rivers and marshes - and magnificent motorbike trails.
Day 19: Halls Gap - Port Campbell, 210 km
After some impressive viewpoints in Grampians N.P. we ride southwards with destination Great Ocean Road - surely one of the most impressive motorcycle routes in the world!
Day 20: Port Campbell - Melbourne, 295 km
The 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and the coastal road along the Great Ocean Road will delight you! We also visit Cape Otway before we drop the bikes off in Melbourne.
