This is a fantastic opportunity to discover historic villages, culture and traditions of “deep” Portugal.
On the morning of this 1st day of the tour, you will ride along the Douro river for a few kilometers, before heading south towards the mountains.
The first city you will find will be Arouca, (land famous for its nice meat!), before heading to the beautiful Serra de São Macário, with its challenging roads.
On this mountain, on a clear day, you can see the sea, despite being about 70 kms from the coast in a straight line.
Then it's time to start descending towards Viseu, where you will spend the night.
Take the opportunity to visit this beautiful city and its medieval center.
What a fabulous day this is.
This day is entirely dedicated to the Serra da Estrela Natural Park.
This day's route will take you to the highest point in Portugal (“Torre”), located at 2,000m high.
But before you get there, you will ride through a glacial valley and on breathtaking mountain roads.
In the 2nd part of the day it's time to head West towards the picturesque village of Piodão, and to the Arganil region, with its famous Rally of Portugal roads.
The day ends in the beautiful and charismatic city of Coimbra, famous for having one of the oldest Universities in the world.
The 3rd and final day of the tour will take you along a part of Portugal's Atlantic coast.
This will be the perfect day to make a few stops along the way and take a swim in the sea (don't forget your swim shorts or bikini!)
On this day you will ride through the cities of Figueira da Foz (with its 50s and 60s glamour), as well as the city of Aveiro (the Portuguese Venice), before taking a short ferry-boat ride to cross the “Ria de Aveiro” and head towards Porto, where this Tour comes to an end.
