Description
It stretches between the Saarland, Hunsrück, Hesse, Baden and Alsace Lorraine.
It includes the Pfäzer forest, which covers a third of the region (1771 km² the largest contiguous forest area in Germany). The highest mountain is the Donnersberg with 687 m.Our tours start in the wine region Südpfalz.
We expect an area as created for us bikers. Well developed country roads with innumerable curves. The evening will end in the cosy ambience of our tour centre, with a multi-course dinner.
Tour itinerary:
Day 1: Individual arrival at our hotel, check in until 6:00 pm.
Tour briefing and getting to know each other over a cosy dinner.
Day 2:
From our hotel we first go to Hambach to Hambach Castle, then via Neustadt the wine route to Bad Dürkheim. Then via Lindemannsruhe to the Donnersberg and further to Falkenstein (the steepest mountain of the Palatinate with 25 percent). Then on to Otterbach to the only motorcycle museum, which is in in a former church. Next we go to Johanniskreutz, one of the most famous biker meeting places in Germany. We continue on small well-maintained paths back to our tour centre.
Day 3:
First we ride over the Kalmithöhenstraße in the direction of Elmsteiner - Tal (Saturday/Sunday/holiday closed for motorcyclists) then to Trippstadt and further on small roads through the West Palatinate. Finally we pass the castle Trifels and return to our quarters.
Day 4:
Today we head towards Pirmasens. We ride to Dahn past the castle Berwartstein to Hinterweidenthal to the Teufelstisch. After a short detour into Alsace, we return via Landeck Castle.
Day 5F:
The last tour leads us into Alsace and the Vosges. Through the Southern Palatinate we cross the border into France at Notweiler. On small winding roads we cross the Alsace, past the ship lift at Arzviller via La Petite Pierre to today's destination the Dabo. From up here (660m) we have a wonderful view over the region. On the way back we stop in Wissembourg and at the German Wine Gate.
Day 6:
After a last breakfast together, individual journey home for the participants.
