Each tour is escorted by 2 escort vehicles, in which luggage, spare parts, food, etc. are stowed. The Mongolian escort team consists of a German speaking guide, mechanic and 2 drivers. We spend the night alternately in tents or in so-called ger-camps. These are traditional yurt camps in which there is a simple restaurant and sanitary facilities. On the luggage list you should therefore not miss camping equipment such as a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, torch, etc. |
The protective equipment for motorcycling must be brought by each participant himself. Recommended are: Helmet and goggles, chest armour, enduro trousers and jacket, knee pads, enduro boots, scarf. |

Description
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbatar
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to Oasis Guesthouse, introduction round, bike check and city tour of Ulaanbaatar with dinner.
Day 2: Ulaanbaatar - Hogno Han (sand dune)
We ride west and after initially riding on asphalt we change to off-road and ride along the river Tuul to the Khustain mountains. We continue to Erdenesant where we reach the day camp at the sand dune.
Daily distance: approx. 360 km, overnight stay in the Gercamp
Day 3: Hogna Han - Karakorum - Hot springs
The journey continues to the west, where we reach our first day's destination Karakorum after about 100 km. We visit the old capital as well as the monastery and then ride along the river Orchon through valleys and mountains. In the late afternoon we reach the day's destination Hot Springs.
Daily distance: approx. 350 km, overnight stay in the Gercamp
Day 4: Hot spring - White Lake
We are heading northwest towards the White Lake. After Tsetserleg town near Ikh Tamir we take the off-road track to Chuluut Sum. In the late evening arrival at the White Lake.
Daily distance: approx. 300 km, overnight stay in tents
Day 5: White Lake - City of Murun
The journey goes over mountains and valleys directly north towards Lake Khuvsgul, which is also the northernmost destination of the journey. But after about 300 km we stay in the provincial capital Murun.

Day 6: City of Murun - Lake Khuvsgul
Today it goes fast and after about 140 km we are already at the lake. After lunch in a Gercamp we can go on rallies in the surrounding area.
Daily distance: approx. 150 km, overnight stay in a Gercamp
Day 7: Lake Khuvsgul - Khatgal Tarialan
Through Khatgal Sum via Chandmani-Undur to Tarialan. The journey goes through forests and mountains.
Daily distance: approx. 250 km, overnight stay in tents
Day 8: Tarialan - Rashaant - Earthenemandal
Now we are heading south again to the Central Khangai regions.
Daily distance: approx. 280 km, overnight stay in the Gercamp
Day 9: Earthenemandal - Khairkhan - Lake Ugii
Further south, the route leads through mountains and forests. In this area there are also some river crossings, we reach the day destination Ugii Nuur in the afternoon.
Daily distance: approx. 220 km, overnight stay in the Gercamp
Day 10: Lake Ugii - Elsen Tasarkhai and Erdenesant - Boer Mountains
We ride over the Hogno Han mountains to the sand dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai. In the Boer Mountains we reach our destination for the day.
Daily distance: approx. 270 km, overnight stay in tents
Day 11: Boer Mountains - Altanbulag - Ulaanbaatar
The last stage brings us back to Ulaanbaatar, where we stay overnight in the Hotel UB-Inn.
