Description

Transalpina and Transfagarasan are certainly among the most famous routes, but Romania has much more to offer for us. We start and end our journey through Transylvania in Sibiu, also called Herrmannstadt. In Romania we meet very hospitable people, great routes for motorcyclists and a rich history.

It all starts with Dracula!

In a landscape of legends and myths, you will find yourself in a bygone era. To learn more about the story of Count Dracula and discover the breathtaking landscapes with its forests and castles is the goal of our trip through Transylvania.

When booking with motorcycle transport, the motorcycle must be given over 24 hours before the start of the tour in Munich.

Day 1/ Arrival

After arriving by plane or car to Sibiu, we will enjoy the city of Sibiu on our first evening in Romania. 2007 was an important year for Sibiu. In this year Sibiu was European Capital of Culture and the airport was expanded. For us this airport is of great importance: our guests can fly to Sibiu. We organize the transport of your own motorcycle. From our accommodation in Sibiu we will explore Sighisoara on the next two days and ride the Transalpina, known among motorcyclists as the best road in Europe.

2nd day/ 09.00 departure/ approx. 16.00 arrival/ approx. 200 KM/ Sigisoara/ Schässsburg/ World Heritage Site

Sigishoara/ Schässburg is often associated with Dracula. He is said to have lived there from 1431 to 1436. The old town belongs to the Unesco world cultural heritage and offers us the optimal opportunity to spend a great lunch break. The first riding day of our trip leads us through typical villages back to Sibiu where we may already prepare in the evening mentally for one of the motorcycle highlights of our trip. Special features of the day:

- Getting to know the roads and the way of riding in Romania.

- Sigisoara/ Schässburg UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999

- Typical "Romanian villages

3rd day/ 09.00 departure/ approx. 17.00 arrival/ approx. 250 KM

The Transalpina is among many motorcyclists, probably the BEST thing they ever got under the wheels. This so simply named national road 67C, crosses the Transylvanian Alps. After this day of curves you wom´t be able to get the grin out of your helmet.

Guaranteed!

Special features of the day:

- Transalpina

- Endless fun on curves

- Many motorcyclists

Day 4/ 09.00 departure/ approx. 17.00 arrival/ approx. 180 KM/ Transfagarasan/ The most beautiful pass road in the world

After spending three wonderful days and nights in and around Sibiu, we are planning a change of location for this day. Our tour to Brasov leads us over the Transfagarasan, the other highlight for motorcyclists in Europe. Brasov is a twin city of Nuremberg and is also called Kronstadt among Germans. Brasov is an excellent starting point for our activities on the next two days.

Special features of the day:

- Tranfagarasan

- Important historical buildings

- Great gastronomy

5th day/ 09.00 Departure to Bran Castle/ approx. 14.00 Arrival/ 0 KM - Relax & Shopping/ Brasov/ Brasov/ Dracula Castle and/ or Relax & Shopping, Free time

On the road connecting Transylvania with Wallachia, high up on a rock, lies the Dracula Castle - Bran Castle. Since Brasov also has a lot to offer for "non motorcyclists" there is the possibility to explore the area on your own on this day.

Special features of the day:

- Bran Castle

- Day at leisure

Day 6/ 09.00 departure/ approx. 17.00 arrival/ approx. 200 KM/ Bucegi Mountains/ endless curves/ Omu Peak

South of Brasov we will have a look at the Bucegi Mountains. The highest mountain there is the 2500 meter high Omu Peak. Once again curves without end and a great day tour with arrival in the evening at our accommodation in Brasov.

Features of the day:

- Bucegi Mountains

- Breathtaking landscape with high mountains

- Rivers and lakes

7th day/ 09.00 departure/ approx. 17.00 arrival/ approx. 200 KM from Brasov to Sibiu/ A home journey of the most winding kind

Can a journey home be more beautiful than over the Transfagarasan? Today we will return to Sibiu, where we will end the trip with a cozy get-together.

Features of the day:

- Transfagarasan

- Journey home over the most beautiful pass road in the world
