Mývatn and Námaskarð
The very first riding day brings the pseudocraters at Skútustaðir, the lava formations of Dimmuborgir, the bubbling mud springs at Námaskarð and the Hverfjall tuff ring. A dip in the Mývatn Nature Baths is included.
Snæfellsnes Peninsula
A full day belongs to the peninsula: the black lava beach of Djúpalónssandur, the fishing villages of Arnarstapi and Hellnar, the Vatnshellir lava cave. Glaciers, volcanoes and bird cliffs crowd close together here.
The Golden Circle
Two nights in the region leave time for the Gullfoss waterfall, the Haukadalur geyser field with Strokkur and Þingvellir National Park, along with the hairpins through the volcanic area of Hengill.
Glacier Lagoons at Höfn
Beneath the Vatnajökull the route reaches two glacier lagoons and Diamond Beach, where stranded icebergs sit on black sand. The Zodiac ride out among the icebergs is part of the price.
Tracks into the Highlands
Gravel sections can be added at will: the Kaldidalur track by Þingvellir, detours towards Eldgjá and Laki, or the Stuðlagil gorge. These variants ask for experience and a machine suited to loose ground.
