10-Day Self-Guided England & Wales Motorcycle Tour

Your England and Wales motorcycle tour begins with your individual journey to Hoek van Holland. Boarding takes place in the evening, and the ferry departs for Great Britain at around 10 pm. You spend the night on board in your cabin.

After arriving in Harwich in the early morning, your Wales motorcycle tour heads west. Via the venerable university town of Oxford, which you'll explore in more detail on the way back, you reach your destination for the day, Gloucester, the starting point for the Cotswolds loop the next day.

Today, this onroad Great Britain motorcycle trip takes you luggage-free through the picturesque Cotswolds region with its limestone cottages and gentle hills. The well-maintained country roads make the day trip a relaxed riding experience. Overnight again in/near Gloucester.

On this Brecon Beacons stage of your tour, you cross heath and moorland around the highest peak, Pen y Fan, before the route leads to the southern Pembrokeshire coast. Rugged cliffs, secluded bays and the Atlantic define the afternoon. Overnight in/near Pembroke.

Today's Pembrokeshire Coast leg follows the coastline via Fishguard and Cardigan to Aberaeron. Numerous viewpoints invite you to stop and take in the Atlantic. In the evening, it's worth strolling past the colorful houses of Belle View Terrace.

This Snowdonia National Park route takes you to the highest mountain in Wales, the 1,085-meter Snowdon. Bare mountain ridges, waterfalls and an attractive hilly landscape accompany the partly winding route to Betws-y-Coed.

Today's leg from Betws-y-Coed again follows a winding route south to the popular spa town of Llandrindod Wells. Changing landscapes and brisk combinations of curves keep the riding fun throughout.

Via Gloucester and the Cotswolds, this stage takes you on to Oxford. If you like, you can visit the ruins of Goodrich Castle along the way. In the university town itself, the Carfax Tower and Christ Church Cathedral are waiting for a stroll.

From Oxford it's back to Harwich, where your return ferry to Hoek van Holland departs in the evening. The crossing sets off at around 11 pm, and you spend the last night of this trip once again on board the ferry.

In the morning you arrive in Hoek van Holland at around 8 am, marking the end of your individual England and Wales motorcycle tour. Times and dates may vary slightly depending on the ferry schedule and traffic conditions.
