About Georg
Georg grew up in Austria and first rode the Pamir Highway at nineteen, on a trip he only meant to do once. He kept coming back - first as a participant, then as a co-guide, and for the last fifteen years as the lead tour guide for Central Asia.
He knows the tracks between Bishkek and Khorog as well as the border posts in between: which customs post opens when, where a river turns impassable after rain, where the next workshop is when there shouldn't be one. Trained in wilderness first aid and technical off-road riding, he leads groups across the Pamir Highway, through the Kyzylkum desert and into the Tajik high mountains.
Georg also heads Motourismo's motorcycle tours division, making sure every trip he doesn't ride himself is planned to the same standard as the ones he does.
