20 Days Enduro Through the Libyan Sahara

The Libya motorcycle trip is a mega-tour in terms of riding and landscape, built for experienced enduro riders. It can be booked as a two-week flight trip or a three-week trip via ferry from Italy to Tunisia and overland to Tripoli. This is not a package tour for beginners, but a genuine expedition over the highest dunes to the highlights of the Sahara. The routing is adapted individually to the group and conditions on site, so this description stays deliberately broad. You should like sand; for former Tunisia participants it is a manageable challenge.

Highlights

Sahara Enduro Expedition

A guided enduro tour through one of the most beautiful and wildest regions of the Libyan Sahara, deep off any civilization or tourist route, across hundreds of kilometres of sand and stone.

Dunes and Desert Tracks

Ride your travel enduro through the high dunes of the Erg Ubari and over wide, fast desert tracks, one of the most technically demanding stages of the entire expedition through the Sahara.

Mandara Lakes in the Desert

Recover at the Mandara Lakes, one of the most beautiful destinations of the Libya Sahara motorcycle trip, with water in the middle of the dunes after long, tiring days in the sand.

Rock Paintings in Akkakus

Discover the prehistoric rock paintings and the bizarre rock landscape of the Akkakus Mountains, if the itinerary allows it, a calmer yet especially intense point of the whole desert tour.

Expedition Kitchen

Enjoy local dishes cooked by a private chef every single evening, while the starry sky rises over the Sahara, comfort and pleasure in the middle of the desert after a long riding day.

Yes. We recommend a travel enduro with a maximum of 1000cc and a 21-inch front wheel with knobby tires.

This expedition deliberately skips luxury and costly supply trucks, the focus is on the experience. The final night is still spent in an unusual hotel with an infinity pool in Tunisia.
