El Chorro Gorge
The first riding day runs past orange and lemon groves to the mighty gorge of El Chorro. From there small roads lead on through deserted valleys planted with olive groves towards the Sierra de las Nieves.
Puerto de las Palomas
Turquoise lakes, cork oak forests and circling birds of prey line the way through the Sierra de Grazalema up to the Puerto de las Palomas pass road, the scenic high point of the second riding day.
Ronda and Puente Nuevo
Over the Puente Nuevo, built in 1750, you reach Ronda. The Moorish old town with its narrow lanes and ancient walls sits high above the roughly 100-metre deep Tajo gorge on the edge of the Serranía.
Antequera and Dolmens
Antequera greets you with the Alcazaba fortress and the dolmen site, a UNESCO World Heritage listing since 2016. A stage town steeped in history amid endless olive fields and winding roads.
El Torcal and Móntes
The El Torcal karst range with its strange rock formations opens the last riding day. Over the Sierra Tejeda, almond groves and the Móntes de Málaga nature park the way runs back to the Mediterranean.
