He "rides" with us on a guided tour with one of our USA connoisseurs as a travel companion and the cult motorcycle brand "Harley-Davidson®" in general.
We have prepared a well planned tour for you, which includes a good number of miles to ride every day, but also includes the sights on the outskirts. The motorcycles for our guided tours mostly come from the Harley-Davidson® authorized program rentals™.
So we have an excellent selection of the latest models with only a few miles, all of which are perfectly prepared for you. As a further advantage, the whole tour is accompanied by a van. Here, the necessary luggage is stored during the tour and, depending on the availability of space, accompanying persons can also ride along in the van - for you this means pure motorcycling!

You will cross the border to Alberta and enter the Mountain Time Zone. In the small town of Jasper, which is the heart of the national park of the same name, you make a short stop. Afterwards the rest of the day is spent on the probably most beautiful road in the Canadian Rockies, the "Icefields Parkway". The Parkway connects on a length of 285 km the two national parks of the same name with the villages Jasper and Banff. You visit the Athabasca Waterfalls and see the blinding white glaciers. A stop at the Columbia Ice Field Visitor Center is a must, and if the time and weather permits, you can take an optional bus tour to the glacier field. Just enjoy the unique 360 degree natural panorama of this dream road, which always takes you along the main road through the heart of the mountains. Afterwards it goes further 60 kilometres on the Icefield Parkway past Banff where it ends. You will see Yoho & Kootenay National Park on the east side and follow a section of the Cowboy Trail to
to reach the metropolis of Calgary. What would have become of the city on the prairie if it were not only 80 km away from the best ski resorts in the Canadian Rockies?
The times when the city earned its money in the cattle trade are long gone. The nearby tourism and oil are now Calgary's main sources of income. Once a year, the Calgary Stampede, the ultimate rodeo world championship of cowboys and cowgirls, takes place here. You'll have lunch at the local dealer's 50s Harley-Davidson® Diner before heading to your nearby downtown neighborhood. This afternoon you will have the opportunity to see the city and experience some of the Country & Western feeling
to take with us. From Calgary Tower you have the best view. Overnight stay in downtown Calgary.
Day 09 - Cowboy Trail - Crowsnest Pass - Fort Steele 430 km
This morning, the first thing you will do is to take the so-called Cowboy Trail under your wheels again. You cross the Crow's Nest Pass, which is low by your standards, but which gained sad fame due to a huge landslide in the last century. Through the Rockies, via the Fernie ski resort, to Fort Steele. More than 60 originally preserved houses, the General Store, a newspaper printing press and a functioning historical railway show life around 1890 in this museum village, which you can also visit. Fancy some Sauerbraten or Kassler ribs? Then you are just in time for dinner in Kimberly. The top addresses are called "the old farmhouse" or "Bavarian Platzl". Here you can find everything that North America considers German cuisine! (Whereby the apple strudel is really good!) With the closure of the last mine in the 70s, the idea of the Bavarian village was born. The overnight stay will take place today in the Kimberly area.

In the morning your tour goes back south. You follow the Columbia River, which expands again and again into endless emerald green and deep blue mountain lakes. Depending on the route and time, you will cross one of these with a ferry to get to Lake Kootenay. There you will have your lunch break in the historic town of Kaslo. The Kaslo Hotel directly on the lake, with its beautiful terrace, is the perfect place for this. You follow the Kootenay River in the afternoon to cross the river over the old steel bridge at Nelson. In Castlegar the Kootenay reunites with the Columbia River, which will later form the border between the states of Washington and Oregon in the USA. Overnight stay in the Castlegar area.
