We ride in the shadow of the Los Nevados del Ruiz volcano, along the banks of the mighty Magdalena river and through the colorful coffee region and visit Pablo Escobar’s old ranch and the lake district outside Medellin. If you only got a week to spare while in Colombia, this is the absolute best tour to get a taste of the real soul of the country!

Day 1

Arrival to Cali. Motolombia staff pick you up at the airport and bring you to the hotel. Depending on what time in the day you arrive, we will meet to sort out paperwork and prep the bikes. A group briefing meeting will be arranged once the last rider has arrived.

Day 2

Cali to Salento – We leave Cali at 8:00 AM and make our way through sugar cane plantations in the Cauca Valley. The coffee region is all shades of green and coffee and banana plantations stretch as far as the eye can see. We ride on small back roads to the Cocora Valley before making our way to the hotel in Salento.

Day 3

Salento to Honda – The morning starts with a visit to a working coffee farm to experience the long process of making a cup of coffee. Then we ride over the mountain pass Las Letras at 4000 meters. If the weather permits we will see the Los Nevados snow capped volcano in the distance. The day end back down at 200 meters altitude in colonial village Honda.

Day 4

Honda to Medellin – After breakfast we ride the banks of the might Magdalena river north to Doradal where we get to see Pablo Escobar’s old ranch. Then we are back in the mountains where we make a stop in the lake district to climb the monolith rock in Guatape. Final stretch get us into hustling and bustling Medellin for a nice dinner..

Day 5

Medellin to Pueblo Tapao – Getting out of Medellin is exciting. Busy city means busy traffic, but as soon as we hit the highway we will be twisting and shouting again. Thousands of tight curves brings us back into the coffee region. And we make our way to a tiny village called Pueblo Tapao.

Day 6

Pueblo Tapao to Cali – The tour ain’t over until the fat lady sings, so we are far from done with the twisty roads. We ride south through the Cauca valley before heading into the western Andes mountain range where we stop for lunch on the shores of Lake Calima. Finally, in the afternoon, we make our way back down to Cali to return for the bikes and celebrate a nice ride with a farewell dinner.

Day 7

Airport transfer from hotel, Fly-out of Cali.
