Description

Because, let's be honest, how many passes are normally ridden during a week's motorcycle holiday? It might be quite a few, but we want to ride more than 50 (in words: fifty) alpine passes in only seven pure riding days!

This tour goes across the Alps, starting in Bad Reichenhall and ending in Lyon/France.

To list all the passes here would go beyond the scope of this page, but of course there are famous passes like the Col de la Bonette, the Stilfserjoch and the Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße. In total we ride 42 of the 50 most beautiful Alpine passes (according to MOTORRAD readers' poll) and among them are of course the 10 highest! On the tour we cross Alpine passes in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France.

So that you can enjoy this special motorcycle tour in a relaxed way, we will take care of all the 'trimmings': eight nights with half board, luggage transport to the individual hotels and our well-known drinks service for the road. All you have to do is ride...

But don't wait too long to book, because we have limited this motorcycle tour to a maximum of 21 bikes in three groups.

Day 1- Arrival in Bad Reichenhall.

At 7.00 a.m. departure from the service area Geismühle West (A57) to our intermediate hotel in Bad Reichenhall.

We make a stop about every 220 km, where you can join the group.

Of course you can also travel individually to Bad Reichenhall.

Day 2 - Bad Reichenhall to Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Today, along with seven other passes, one of the highlights of the tour is on the stage plan: The Grossglockner High Alpine Road. But also the smaller passes in Friuli can be seen and offer a lot of riding fun! Overnight stay is at the **** Hotel Parc Victoria in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Day 3 - Cortina d'Ampezzo to Livigno.

Over the Passo di Giau we go to the next highlight of this stage, the so-called 'Sella-Round' (which we ride counterclockwise!) over the four passes Pordoijoch, Campolongo-Sattel, Grödner Joch and Sellajoch. We continue over the Karer Pass and the Mendel Pass to the notorious Stilfserjoch. Overnight stay is at the Hotel Intermonti in Livigno.

Day 4 - Livigno to Andermatt.

The Passo del San Bernardino is just one of the eight great passes over which our stage today leads from Livigno to Andermatt. At the beginning, of course, we make a duty-free fuel stop in Livigno. Overnight stay is at the *** Motel Gottardo Sud Piotta.

Day 5 - Andermatt to Sallanches.

Our today's stage leads us a good part "highway-free" through Switzerland into France; more precisely: to Morzine, whereby we of course also take the St. Gotthard Pass under the wheels (we ride the "old" road, also known as "Tremola")! Overnight stay is at the **-hotel ibis Sallanches.

Day 6 - Sallanches to Le Lauzet-Ubaye.

Over the Col de la Madeleine, we're heading to the Col du Galibier today. This is one of the ten highest Alpine passes on today's itinerary ... along with nine other great pass roads, six of which are part of the Route des Grandes Alpes. Overnight is at the ***-Hotel La Lauzetane in Le Lauzet-Ubaye.

Day 7 - From Le Lauzet-Ubaye to Manosque...

The highlights of today's stage are the highest pass in the Alps, the Col de la Bonette and the famous Grand Canyon du Verdon ... and in between there are seven more passes and beautiful gorges, including the Gorges de Daluis! Overnight stay is at the ***-Hotel le Sud in Manosque.

Day 8 - From Manosque to Lyon.

This stage takes us first through the Drôme and then through the Vercors, where we cross the Col de Rousset and the Cirque de Combe Laval, among others. Further it goes, in order to make "meters", a piece over the highway up to our last stop-over hotel in Lyon.

Day 9 - Journey home.

Joint or individual journey home to Krefeld or home.
