Description

So similarly write many motorcycle magazines and rave in the highest tones of the breathtaking landscape and the motorcycle roads in the highest perfection. At the best time to travel, we take the "island of beauty" under our wheels and enjoy the waltz of curves in the Mediterranean environment. If you believe the locals, there are an average of 13 curves per kilometer winding through the bikers' paradise.

Our motorcycle tour begins in Trentino, where we can look forward to the days ahead over a delicious dinner in one of the most beautiful hotels in the area - six carefully selected stages and day trips lie ahead of us! The night ferry will take us from Savona in Liguria rested to the French island. "Little Corsica", as the Cap Corse is also called, gives us a first impression of the scenic diversity and promises us bends with a rush of altitude. Followed by cliffs, high mountains, brilliant photo points in cinema format and curves in abundance... To put it in a nutshell: pure biker fun! Our carefully selected tour hotel, located in the central mountainous area of Corsica, offers an optimal starting point for our day tours. Without the need to change hotels, we have the opportunity to discover the sunny island in all directions. Wonderfully nestled between impressive mountain peaks, valleys and wild romantic rivers, we can end the evenings after our daily stages with culinary delights. After this unforgettable time full of curve fun and French island culture, the night ferry from Bastia brings us back to the mainland. Our hotel in Trentino is already waiting for us again with its charm for dinner. With many great memories we look back on a classic among motorcycle tours.

Program, hotel and route changes are reserved!

Itinerary:

Day 1 - Meeting point in Trentino (individual arrival).

Our motorcycle tour to the island of 10,000 curves, as Corsica is also called, begins in Upper Italy near Lake Garda. At dinner together in the meeting point hotel we get to know each other, and at the detailed tour briefing we discuss full of anticipation the coming riding days on the sunny island.

Day 2 - To Savona to the night ferry

Strengthened with a rich breakfast we start towards south-west. Our destination is the port city of Savona in Liguria. We ride through the Province of Veneto to the south and Lombardy to the west on the freeway. Via Piedmont we approach Savona on country roads. In Mediterranean flair we enjoy dinner before our night ferry leaves for Bastia in the evening. As the ferry departs, we enjoy a picturesque view of the 16th century fortress of Priamar.

Overnight stay: on the ferry to Corsica

Daily mileage: approx. 410 km

Day 3 - Cape Corse "Corsica in miniature".

Early in the morning we disembark in the port of Bastia. As soon as we have Corsican soil under our wheels, we ride north along the Cap Corse on the east coast. On our round trip on the Cap Corse we experience picturesque coastal roads, which nestle closely to the steep slopes, lonely villages and gigantic views of the blue shimmering Mediterranean Sea. We change several times to the east and west coasts, and then head into the northern interior of the island through the Nebbio region, which is a fertile area between Cap Corse and the Désert des Agriates. We will end our opening tour in "Little Corsica" in the evening at the hotel - perhaps with a good glass of wine from the Nebbio region, which has its origins along our route today.

Overnight stay: Corte area

Daily mileage: approx. 230 km

Day 4 - From the Gulf of Porto through the Niolo High Valley

Over the Col de San Colombano the roadbook leads us eastwards and we enjoy the heights of the Belagne region towards Calvi. With a last view of the Citadelle of Calvi we then ride over the Bocca di Palmarella to the Gulf of Porto. On the winding mountain road, the impressive rocks shine in colors ranging from ocher to purple, depending on the position of the sun. In constant change, views of the sea and the mountains over 1,000 meters high open up to us. We pass Porto Ota with its landmark, the fortified tower built in 1549 on a rocky outcrop in front of the harbor. And on we go! Further on, the impressive natural phenomenon of Scala di Santa Regina awaits us, located at the eastern end of the Niolo high valley, through which flows the Golo, Corsica's longest river. Reddish granite rocks show here beautiful tafoni weathering, before we again end the day at our hotel.

Overnight stay: Corte area

Daily distance: about 250 km

Day 5 - Relaxing without riding or curvy riding fun?

Corte is a charming town steeped in history and surrounded by the spectacular nature of Corsica. The surrounding area has a lot to offer here! You can, for example, visit the old town with the Citadelle of Corte as well as the surrounding Gorges de la Restonica with its crystal clear streams and natural pools, which are perfect for hiking and swimming.

Of course, your guide also has an optional motorcycle tour in store for you! Countless curves await you on this stage towards the south. Through the mountainous countryside you will head towards Solenzara. Here, enchanting panoramas of the deep blue Mediterranean Sea await you again and again, until you reach the Col de Bavella at 1,218 meters. The bizarre granite needles and towers known as the "Aiguilles de Bavella" stretch majestically across the landscape and offer spectacular views. Finally, the Col de la Vaccia, at 1,193 m, brings us curvaceously back to our tour hotel.

Overnight stay: Corte area

Daily mileage: optional approx. 270 km

Day 6 - Original landscape around southern Corsica

Heading southeast, we pass through the once inaccessible landscape of the Fiumorbo region. Once robbers and rebels hid here between Monte Renoso (2,352 m) and Ghisonaccia in the middle of the east coast. Today, roads lead to even the most remote villages while offering dream routes for motorcyclists, such as the Col de l'Ospedale. The following passes promise still so much, because we will exceed the 1,000 m limit still several times. Thus we remain again in the enjoyment of the fascinating Corsican mountain world, always accompanied by pine forest, wild rivers and mountain lakes. Also the animal world does not remain to us, because at the Col de Scalella we will make acquaintance with some luck with the famous Corsican pigs. After riding through three passes with more than 1,000 m altitude today, we can relax one last time in our hotel.

Overnight stay: Corte area

Daily distance: about 330 km

Day 7 - Through the hilly landscape of Castagniccia to the night ferry to Bastia

We pass through chestnut forests, which until 100 years ago were the wealth of the region. The trees, up to 20 meters high, have always been important in Corsican cuisine, but the cultivation of the forests declined sharply due to rural exodus. Now chestnuts are experiencing a renaissance, as glazed chestnuts or chestnut flour, from which pastries, jam and the famous Corsican beer are made. We experience again curvy stretches and then in the late afternoon we will ride over the Col de Teghime as the fourth pass on this day. The route offers us fantastic views of the Gulf of St. Florent as well as the Nebbio plain. Finally, the ferry awaits us in the port of Bastia.

Overnight stay: on the ferry to Savona

Daily distance: about 240 km

Day 8 - From the coast back to Trentino

After the ferry has docked in Savona in the morning, we start towards Trentino. After a short stretch on the highway to Genoa, the charming Italian mountain landscape awaits us. After the Po Valley, we set course for our beautiful starting hotel, where we began our journey a week ago. There the waiter is already waiting for us and welcomes us back with refreshing drinks...

Overnight stay: Trento (Italy)

Daily distance: about 400 km

Day 9 - Farewell and individual journey home

Once again we have breakfast together, then it's time to say goodbye. On our individual journey home we will be accompanied by our memories of this classic motorcycle tour.
