-
Day 2: Harwich - Gloucester (approx. 290 km)
Arrival in Harwich in the morning (approx. 6.30 am). Your round trip through the most beautiful landscapes of England and Wales begins! Via the venerable university town of Oxford - you will have plenty of time to get to know the city on the way back - you will reach the west of England. Your destination for the day is Gloucester, the starting point for a tour of one of England's most typical regions the following day. Overnight stay in/near Gloucester.
-
Day 3: Cotswolds (approx. 170 km)
You will visit perhaps one of the most "English" areas of the British Isles: the Cotswolds region is famous for its villages nestled in the picturesque landscape and experienced great wealth through the wool trade. The area is still prosperous today. The gently rolling hills and valleys, the cottages, and the small villages with their limestone architecture make a wonderful backdrop for a day trip on a motorcycle. Overnight stay in/near Gloucester.
-
Day 4: Gloucester - Brecon Beacons National Park - Pembrokeshire Coast (approx. 240 km)
Off to Wales! Ride through small villages to the Brecon Beacons National Park, which is dominated by heath, moorland, and the highest peak, Pen y Fan, at almost 900 meters. From here you ride to the south coast of Wales. You head for the southern Pembrokeshire Coast, a large part of which is also a protected national park. Cliffs with rugged rock formations, secluded bays, the shimmering Atlantic, and countless seabirds await you here. Overnight stay in/near Pembroke.
-
Day 5: Pembrokeshire Coast - Aberaeron (approx. 130 km)
You follow the beautiful coastline and should take time for a stop here and there along the way. The view of the Atlantic is simply magnificent! Via Fishguard and Cardigan, you reach Aberaeron, your destination for today. In the evening, the small town invites you to stroll through the streets and along the colorful houses of Belle View Terrace. Overnight stay in/near Aberaeron.
-
Day 6: Aberaeron - Snowdonia National Park - Betws-y-Coed (approx. 190 km)
You ride to Snowdonia National Park. It is named after the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon, at 1,085 meters. This area is popular with hikers and boasts barren mountain ridges, waterfalls, charming hilly lands, a cape, and unique wildlife. Today's partly winding route promises an interesting tour. Overnight stay in/near Betws-y-Coed.
-
Day 7: Betws-y-Coed - Llandrindod Wells (approx. 190 km)
Once again following a winding route, you head south again. Your destination for the day, Llandrindod Wells, is a popular spa town. Overnight stay in/near Llandrindod Wells.
-
Day 8: Llandrindod Wells - Oxford (approx. 200 km)
You cycle via Gloucester towards Oxford. On the way, you cross the picturesque Cotswolds region again. If you wish, you can visit the ruins of Goodrich Castle near Ross-on-Wye beforehand. After you arrive in Oxford, you can explore the famous university city. The first colleges were founded here as early as the 13th century. The Carfax Tower, Christ Church Cathedral and Radcliffe Camera are well-known sights. Overnight stay in/near Oxford.
