Accommodation:
Standard: Standard: Generally 3-star hotels, mostly in central locations
Comfort category: 4-star hotels or upscale room category in 3-star hotels
As a general rule, comfortable hotels cannot be guaranteed in every location. While there is usually a wide range of hotels of all categories in the major cities and tourist centers, we have to switch to lower-classified hotels in smaller towns or rural areas. We then try to compensate for this by offering a higher room category, for example. If you would like an upgrade to a higher-class hotel, this is usually possible in the larger cities. Please feel free to contact us!

Description

In addition to the beautiful cities of Krakow and Wroclaw and the famous lake district of Masuria, this motorcycle tour also takes you to less-traveled areas. For example, the pristine Bialowieza National Park in the far east of Poland is on the program. Most of the stages of this motorcycle tour ride along country roads and secondary routes, giving you an insight into rural Poland away from the tourist strongholds.

-

Tour character:

This motorcycle tour goes mainly via country roads and secondary roads. The daily stages are generally under 300 km and are therefore easily manageable. So there may be time for an extra detour. On many days we offer you alternative or supplementary routings. In Masuria and the area around Krakow, you can determine the length of the day tours yourself. In total, you will cover around 1,800 to 2,000 km on this tour.

This tour is ridden by your own motorcycle, with individual departures and arrivals.

If you wish, you can extend the motorcycle tour by one night in Krakow or Gdansk. Please contact us!

Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival

Individual arrival to Wroclaw. Wroclaw is crossed by numerous arms of the Oder River, which is why the city is often referred to as the "Silesian Venice". Worth seeing are the cathedral, the Aula Leopoldina, and the Jahrhunderthalle, which was designed by the German architect Max Berg. On the cathedral island with its many houses of worship, the atmosphere of bygone times can still be felt today. Overnight stay in Wroclaw.

-

Day 2: Wroclaw - Krakow (approx. 260 or 280 km)

You ride on well-maintained country roads in the direction of Krakow. If you like, you can choose one of the side routes and/or make a stop at the Auschwitz memorial. Once you arrive in Krakow, you should take an evening stroll to get to know the beautiful city. Krakow was the seat of the Polish kings and the capital of Poland until 1596. Overnight stay in Krakow.

-

Day 3: Krakow & surroundings

You can spend today as you wish. Perhaps take a motorcycle-free day and explore Krakow. Krakow's medieval market square is home to the famous Cloth Halls and St. Mary's Basilica with its remarkable high altar. Perhaps you will also explore the Jewish quarter of Kazimierz with its old synagogue. Large parts of the movie "Schindler's List" were filmed here. But if you want to ride, take a tour through southern Poland to Zakopane (round trip approx. 280 km). Or you can ride to Oswiecim today and visit the memorial site of the Auschwitz concentration camp, which probably stands for the atrocities of the National Socialists like no other (round trip approx. 130 km). Overnight stay in Krakow.

-

Day 4: Krakow - Lublin (approx. 260 or 280 km)

You can start the day with a detour to Groß Salze (Wieliczka). The underground route of the salt mine leads through a labyrinth of galleries and tunnels with countless sculptures carved in salt. You then ride along country roads and through villages in southern Poland to Lublin. You should discover the city on an evening stroll. The two old city gates and Lublin Castle with its interesting façade are well worth seeing. Overnight stay in Lublin.

-

Day 5: Lublin - Bialowieza National Park - Bialystok (approx. 310 or 340 km)

On your route along the Polish-Belarusian border, you will reach the Bialowieza National Park. The area is characterized by primeval forest and - thanks to successful breeding and reintroduction - is the habitat of impressive bison. The wonderful, primeval landscape invites you to a beautiful ride. Then it's on to Bialystok, your destination for the day. Here the Branicki Palace, the baroque town hall, and the Polish Orthodox Church attract visitors. Overnight stay in Bialystok.

-

Day 6: Bialystok - Masuria (about 200 km)

After the Bialowieza National Park, the next wonderful landscape is on the program: Masuria. Masuria is probably one of the most famous regions of Poland and enchants with deep forests, small villages, and lonely lakesides. The following day you will have time for an extensive sightseeing tour. Overnight stay in Masuria.

-

Day 7: Masuria

Large round trip through Masuria, the "land of thousand lakes". Small villages and towns invite you to stop. In Lötzen (Gizycko), for example, you will find the Boyen Fortress and the swing bridge, which is rare in Europe. Heiligelinde (Swieta Lipka) is a famous place of pilgrimage with a baroque Jesuit church. Rastenburg (Ketrzyn) or Dönhoffstädt Castle could also be on your program. In any case, you will enjoy the ride through the Masurian landscape! The length of the stages is up to you. Overnight stay in Masuria.

-

Day 8: Masuria - Marienburg - Gdansk (approx. 290 or 300 km)

You first ride to Marienburg (Malbork). If you wish, you can take time to visit the huge Ordensburg castle. It is the largest medieval fortified building in Europe and was the residence of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order for centuries. After you arrive in Gdansk, you can familiarize yourself with the city on an evening walk. The former Hanseatic city is a wonderfully restored old town. Worth seeing are the beautiful Neptune Fountain, the town hall, and the impressive St. Mary's Church. From there, Frauengasse, lined with pretty town houses, you ride directly to the Mottlau and the old Krantor gate. You can end the evening in one of the many restaurants along the Motława. Overnight stay in Gdansk.

-

Day 9: Gdansk - Rügenwalde (approx. 210 km)

Today you ride through Pomerania to Rügenwalde (Darlowo). Today the journey is the destination: you should choose the side road and plan time for short detours to the sea along the way. This will give you a wonderful impression of the Polish Baltic coast! Overnight stay in Rügenwalde or the surrounding area.

-

Day 10: Rügenwalde - Szczecin (approx. 220 km)

Today is the last stage: You ride to Szczecin (Stettin) on the German-Polish border. Overnight stay in Szczecin.

-

Day 11: Departure

Individual journey home.
