Description

What could be more obvious than to connect as many of these charming areas as possible with a single tour? And so our tour takes us through the Weserbergland, Harz, Thuringian Forest, Upper Palatinate Forest, Bavarian Forest, Swabian Alb, Black Forest, Palatinate Forest, Hunsrück, Eifel, Westerwald and Sauerland. Of course, we use side roads wherever possible and avoid the big cities.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1

Arrival.

Individual arrival at the meeting point- Welcome Hotel**** Bad Arolsen. Welcome beer, get to know the group and have dinner together.

Day 2

Weserbergland and Harz.

Our first stage together takes us through the Weserbergland to the Harz Mountains. On the way, we will visit the medieval old town of Bad Gandersheim and the goat pasture Sophienhof. We will spend the night in the Hotel Grüne Tanne Mandelholz, in the middle of the Harz Mountains.

Day 3

Hoher Meißner.

Today we will ride west through Eichsfeld to the border museum Schifflersgrund. Then we will pass the Hoher Meißner and along the Rennsteig to Oberhof, where we will spend the night in the AHORN Panorama Hotel.

Day 4

Thuringian Forest and Upper Palatinate.

On this day we will ride the small and winding roads parallel to the Rennsteig through the mountains of the Thuringian Forest towards the southeast into the northern Upper Palatinate. We will spend the night in the Altstadt Hotel Bräuwirt in Weiden in der Oberpfalz.

Day 5

Bavarian Forest.

Today we will be mainly in the Bavarian Forest and on our way to the Altmühl we will of course go around the Großer Arber, the highest mountain in this low-mountain range. We will spend the night at the Brauereigasthof Schneider in Essing, directly on a branch of the Altmühl.

Day 6

Altmühl and Swabian Alb.

Our next stage leads us through the beautiful valley of the Altmühl and the Härtsfeld, first to Neresheim, with a worthwhile visit to the baroque monastery church. Then we will continue across the Swabian Alb to the Upper Lauter Valley, where we will spend the night near Münsingen at Hotel Speidel's Brau Manufaktur.

Day 7

Through the Kleine Lautertal and Obere Donautal into the Black Forest.

Today's stage again leads through two very beautiful valleys: first, we ride from the Große Lautertal to Zwiefalten and from there, passing Sigmaringen, through the Obere Donautal to the monastery of Beuron. From here, we will cross the southern foothills of the Swabian Alb to Sankt Märgen in the southern Black Forest, where we will spend two nights in the Hotel Hirschen.

Day 8

The Southern Black Forest.

In the southern Black Forest there are curves without end, and today we want to take as many of them as possible "under the wheels". Passing the 1414 meter high Belchen, we will ride through the valleys of the rivers Wiese, Wehra, and Alb and past the Schluchsee back to Sankt Märgen, which is located at an altitude of almost 900 meters.

Day 9

Off to the Palatinate.

Our way to the Palatinate leads us on beautiful roads from south to north through the entire Black Forest. South of Karlsruhe, we cross the Rhine on a small ferry and then ride through the Bienwald and along the Southern Wine Route to our hotel Gutshof Ziegelhütte in Edenkoben.

Day 10

Palatinate Forest and Moselle.

Today's stage leads us through the Palatinate Forest and over the Hunsrück to the Moselle. From there, we pass the Laacher See lake and continue through the Eifel to the Rhine. At Ahrweiler we cross the Rhine by ferry and spend the night at the Hotel Zur Post in Waldbreitbach.

Day 11

Westerwald, Siegerland and Sauerland.

Our last stage together will take us through the northern Westerwald, the Siegerland, and the Sauerland back to Bad Arolsen, where we will again spend the night at the Hotel Residenzschloß and say goodbye to each other at the last dinner together.

Day 12

Journey home.

Today our journey through the German low-mountain ranges ends with the individual journey home.
