Description
The meeting point for departure on the 1st day is at 7 a.m. at the Pfungstadt West service area on the A 67. freeway to the 1st overnight stay at Lake Geneva. The first stage of the legendary motorcycle route "La Route des Grandes Alpes" begins in Thonon-les-Bains begins on our 2nd day. We cross 7 of the most famous passes up to over 2700 meters to our evening destination in Valloire in the department of Savoie.
The 3rd day brings us "right on our doorstep" to the 2646-meter-high Col du Galibier. By the time we arrive in Menton on the Mediterranean in the evening, we have enjoyed another 6 massive passes with a total of over 14,000 meters of altitude.
On our 4th day, we take some time to relax at the Côte d'Azur or make a trip to neighboring Monaco, Italy, or Nice.
On the morning of the 5th day, we ride via Nice toward further passes of the French Maritime Alps, always heading north to our stage accommodation in the magnificent Alpine town of Bourg-d'Oisans.
On the 6th day, it gets high alpine again: Over Chamonix, directly at the foot of the Mont Blanc, and by Gstaad we ride to Lörrach, convenient between Rhine and Black Forest, to our last overnight accommodation of this journey.
And then, on the 7th day, we still have the ride over the highway to Pfungstadt.
