Start at the Eiffel Tower
Your journey begins in front of the famous landmark of Paris, the classic opening of every Paris Dakar stage. After a vehicle check and safety briefing, you are in the saddle, riding out of the city towards the south.
Through Spain to Morocco
You ride across Spain to Gibraltar and cross by ferry to Africa, where the green north of Morocco welcomes you. From there the route leads over the Atlas mountains and passes towards the desert.
Offroad in the Sahara
Sand, gravel and wide open tracks challenge you and your machine far from civilisation. Over several days you move through southern Morocco, past oases and kasbahs, to the edge of the Western Sahara.
Borderland Mauritania
Along the Atlantic coast you explore the vast spaces of the Western Sahara and Mauritania on demanding tracks. Border no man's land, sand dunes and lonely coastal stretches challenge rider and machine alike.
Finish at Lac Rose
The journey ends at the pink salt lake outside Dakar, a fitting close to your motorcycle trip to Senegal. Together with the group you celebrate reaching the rally's finish line after 22 days in the saddle.
