Schwarzwald High Road
The stage over the Schwarzwald High Road passes the Mummelsee and the Schwarzenbach reservoir. A short walk leads to the Teufelsloch rock formation, then on to the Teufelsmühle with wide views across valleys and ridgelines.
To the Danube Springs
Day six opens at the Brigach spring, runs past the Martinskapelle and through the Bregtal to the source pool at Donaueschingen. Then follow the Danube sinkhole, the Danube gorge and the Aachtopf, the largest spring in Germany.
The Eight Summits
One day belongs to the peaks: Belchen, Blauen, Feldberg, Herzogenhorn, Schauinsland, Silberberg, Stübenwasen and Toter Mann line up one after another, with the Feldberg the highest point of the day at 1,493 metres.
Rhine Falls and the Lake
From the volcanic landscape of the Hegau the ferry carries you from Meersburg to Konstanz, on past the Gnadensee and Untersee to Stein am Rhein in Switzerland. The day ends at the thundering Rhine Falls before returning to the shore.
Hotzenwald Idyll
Narrow lanes wind through gorge-like forest valleys with sheer rock faces, squeezing between stream and cliff. From the bare ridgelines, clear weather opens a view across the High Rhine all the way to the Swiss Alps.
