Four day stages from Koblenz, 150–200 km

It opens at the 3-star hotel in the middle of Koblenz, where the Rhine and the Moselle meet. After arriving individually you leave your luggage in the room, and at 10 am the first stage sets off upstream. Across four days the way runs through the side valleys of the Eifel, Hunsrück, Taunus and Westerwald, returning to the same hotel every evening. The roads are winding and well surfaced, the stages run 150 to 200 kilometres, and that suits beginners and returning riders alike.

Highlights

The Middle Rhine Stage

The first day runs from Koblenz upstream through the World Heritage stretch as far as Rüdesheim. Viewpoints in the side valleys of the Taunus and Hunsrück and a ferry crossing are part of the day's programme.

Vineyards on the Moselle

The second day threads through the side valleys of the Hunsrück and Eifel as far as Nehren. Narrow roads, picturesque wine villages and plenty of bends define the stage before the afternoon return to Koblenz.

Castles in the Lahn Valley

Riverside roads and the side valleys of the Taunus and Westerwald lead as far as Balduinstein near Diez. Numerous castles and manor houses line the way on this short but varied day stage.

Westerwald Lake District

The last day runs via the Sayn valley to the Westerwald lake district and on to Neustadt/Wied. Through the Wied valley and via Neuwied the way returns to Koblenz, where the shared days come to an end.

A Small Guided Group

You ride in a small group with a leader, on winding on-road routes with good surfaces throughout. The daily stages of 150 to 200 kilometres are manageable even for riders with little experience.
