Base hotel on Krk
Seven nights in the same house right at the water in Njivice, with half board and drinks at dinner included. The luggage stays in the room, every day ride starts and ends here, and the bike is parked at the hotel for free.
The amphitheatre in Pula
The coast road runs south through Labin to Pula, where one of the best preserved Roman amphitheatres anywhere stands above the harbour. The way back leads through the fishing town of Rovinj and past Pazin on its rock.
Island hopping to Cres
From Valbiska the ferry carries the group to the neighbouring island. Narrow roads along the spine of the island lead to the fishing villages of Osor and Mali Losinj and to the island capital of Cres, with a late afternoon return.
Plitvice Lakes at dawn
An early start so the group is at the park before the coaches. Sixteen terraced lakes tumble into one another in cascades here, and the Karl May films were shot on them. A guided walk through the lakes can be added optionally.
Forests of Gorski kotar
Through Novi Vinodolski and Breze to Jasenak, then on through Mrkopalj and Delnice: tight corners, dense forest and almost no traffic. This is the best riding day of the week and the sharpest contrast to the coast.
