Portugal Motorcycle Tour – Algarve & Douro

Your Portugal motorcycle tour starts in Porto, where you collect your rental bike and meet the group and guide. After a brief orientation, the route heads north into the Gerês National Park for the first full day in the saddle. From there the tour covers the Douro Valley with a quinta wine tasting, the mountain passes of Serra da Estrela, the open roads of the Alentejo and the renowned Algarve coast. The return leg follows the central west coast via Cascais, Sintra, Óbidos, Nazaré and Aveiro back to Porto. A support vehicle handles luggage on every stage, and full board is included throughout.

Highlights

Douro Valley Wine Tasting

In the Douro Valley, one of the world's oldest designated wine-growing regions, a stop at a local quinta includes a guided tasting of regional wines with views across terraced vineyards and the river below.

Serra da Estrela Castles

The Serra da Estrela stage leads through Portugal's high plateau past centuries-old fortified villages and castles in the wild eastern interior, well off the usual touring routes and full of local history.

Algarve Clifftop Roads

The Algarve coastline delivers some of the most rewarding riding of the tour, with cliff-top roads winding above dramatic rock formations and wide sandy beaches before the route turns north toward Lisbon.

Lisbon & Mid-West Coast

Between Lisbon and Porto the route follows the central west coast through Cascais, Sintra, Óbidos and Nazaré, each stop with its own character — from royal palaces to medieval walled towns and Atlantic fishing villages.

Small-Group Guided Tour

As a guided Portugal motorcycle tour in small, partly private groups, every rider progresses at their own pace with an experienced guide, full luggage support and full board across all seven stages.
