Training Day to Open
At the operator's own centre you work on gravel tracks, sand waves and braking technique. With those fundamentals in place, the loose ground on the following Atlantic-coast stages feels considerably more manageable.
Tarifa at the Southern Tip
Tarifa counts as the stronghold of windsurfing and kitesurfing. Dunes, long beaches and the view across the Strait of Gibraltar make the first big riding day one of the most varied of the whole week.
White Villages to Cádiz
The coast road runs past Almadraba Tuna and a string of white villages all the way to Cádiz. The historic old town, with its narrow lanes and its view over the Atlantic, closes out this riding day.
Forty Per Cent Gravel
The split runs forty per cent off-road and sixty per cent tarmac. That suits practised trail riders as much as anyone who prefers winding country roads, without ever turning the week into a grind.
Grazalema and Ronda
The return leads through the Sierras of Grazalema and Ronda, between mountain villages and deep gorges. Around 280 kilometres with wide views over the hills, valleys and villages of Andalusia.
