From the age of the original Berber dynasties, to the Arab invaders, to European colonialism, these places have one thing in common: they were all the centre of the empire and the seat of the king.

Our tour starts in Malaga and brings you after sporty motorcycle pleasure in the Rif mountains to the first royal city after Fes. As the cultural heart of the nation, Fes bears the seal of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and awaits us with its narrow streets, small squares and craft shops. On the roads of the Middle Atlas we ride from Fes through central Morocco to Marrakech, famous for the lively medina, the main square Djemmaa-el-Fna, its palaces, gardens and old steam baths. We then conquer the peaks of the High Atlas before descending to the coastal road to Casablanca and on to Rabat, once a thriving Roman port, now one of the country's most important metropolises and its capital.

The trip offers the motorcyclist unique riding fun on panoramic, mountain and coastal roads in beautiful, exotic landscapes. The entire route runs on asphalt roads. Depending on your wishes and riding skills, detours to unpaved roads are possible. After the daily stages the comfort of a 4* to 5* hotel awaits us.

Tour schedule:

Day 1 : Arrival in Malaga

Arrival at Málaga airport and transfer to the hotel. During a dinner together with Spanish wine we will get to know each other and discuss our tour.

Day 2 : Malaga - Tangier - Chefchauen

Along the Costa del Sol we travel along the Mediterranean Sea to Tarifa. We transfer to the African continent, which can be reached from here without delay by ferry through the Strait of Gibraltar.

Here in the north of Morocco green is still the dominant colour, on winding roads we pass fields and forests into the mountains of the Rif. In the evening we reach the blue pearl Chefchaouen, whose lovely architecture still reminds of the villages of Andalusia.

Day 3 : Chefchaouen - Fez

On our first full day of riding on African soil, we enjoy the gentle hills of the Rif Mountains. The terrain here is perfect for our motorcycles and offers a fantastic atmosphere in which we can fully enjoy the joy of riding. Behind the Rif mountains we reach the pulsating city of Fes, the first of the three royal cities of Morocco that we visit. Also known as the "Mecca of the West" and "Athens of Africa", Fes has the world's largest medina, called Fas-el-Bali, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 4 : Fes - Atlas Mountains

Today a long and very varied day awaits us, which impresses scenically. We reach the plateaus of central Morocco, where the vastness and beauty of this land can be felt as the first foothills of the High Atlas emerge on the horizon. Here we spend the night in a small village in the heart of the Atlas Mountains.

Day 5 : Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

In the morning, after a ride through wild and romantic valleys, we reach a beautiful natural spectacle, the "Cascades d'Ouzoud", the largest and most impressive waterfalls in the country. Westwards the route leads us past old Kasbahs and we arrive in the sunset at the stage goal of the "biggest oasis of Morocco" - Marrakech! For many the most beautiful and oriental city in Morocco, the "Pearl of the South".

Day 6 : Marrakech

Riding free day and exploring Marrakech, the second of the three royal cities of Morocco that we visit.

Day 7 : Marrakech - Casablanca - Rabat

At the beginning of today's journey we take the road towards Casablanca. With its long, winding sections, which give us full pleasure riding along endless palm avenues, the road to Casablanca is predestined for motorcycling.

Arriving at the coast, fresh seafood and unique curve passages sweeten the day before we reach Morocco's capital Rabat, the third royal city we will visit on this tour.

Day 8 : Rabat - Malaga

After a morning photo at the Hassan Tower, the iconic landmark of Rabat, we quickly cross the northwest of Morocco and head straight for the border. From here we cross the Strait of Gibraltar to Algeciras and our Morocco adventure gradually comes to an end as we return to our starting point in Malaga.

Day 9 : Return journey
