To look for the best beyond these borders and, of course, to find it, that is the aim of this motorcycle tour. Unknown passes, small, winding roads, enraptured valleys between steep mountain flanks of glistening granite, plus a dash of Italian lifestyle with air-dried ham and delicious cappuccino - that's Friuli.
Clean torrents, which gleam turquoise and eat their way through the white karst, lonely national parks with almost untouched forests, where bears still live, can be found in Slovenia. Gentle foothills of the Alps at first, behind them the mountains, beautifully folded and up to three thousand meters high.
Amidst the lush green valleys, the Carinthian lakes gleam in the sunlight. The peaks of the stone giants are reflected on their slightly rippled surface: typically Austrian. And once again the well-known saying proves itself: all good things come in threes.
