Everyone who has ever been there says: Sardinia is THE paradise of curves! On the island, the second largest in the Mediterranean, there are excellent mountain roads in a backdrop of mountains, forests and sea that are hard to beat.

The beauty of Sardinia will impress you and you will say after the holiday: "How, is it already over?"! Just let yourself be surprised...
Unlike many other operators, we use night ferries for the crossings from Genoa to Sardinia and back. They may be more expensive, but we gain two extra days of vacation!
Day 1: Arrival in Weil am Rhein.
Departure at 7.00 a.m. at the Geismühle West (A57) service station in southern direction for the joint journey to our intermediate hotel Ott's Leopoldshöhe in Weil am Rhein.
Individual arrival possible.
Day 2: Over the Gotthard pass to Genoa to the ferry.
Today we go to the ferry to Genoa. Unfortunately, we have to use the motorway for most of this, which requires a vignette in Switzerland and tolls in Italy.
Weather permitting, we do not ride through the Gotthard road tunnel, but over the 2106 metre high Gotthard pass.
Day 3: From Porto Torres to the first base hotel in Arbatax.
In a true eldorado of bends, the route leads through endless cork oak forests via Bitti to Nuoro and on to the Gulf of Orosei. On the famous SS125 we ride over the Gennargentu mountains to Arbatax to our first base hotel Arbatasar.
Day 4: Orgosolo - Aritzo.
Today we ride through the notorious Barbagia to the former "bandit's nest" Orgosolo. The journey continues via Fonni, the highest mountain village in Sardinia, to Aritzo. In a small side trip to the highest accessible point of the island we also see the only ski lift of Sardinia. Afterwards we will head for Seulo, where we will have lunch in a typical agriturismo and get to know the Sardinian life in the countryside. Via Ussassai and Lanusei we then return to the base hotel near Arbatax.
Day 5: The southeast.
The southeast of Sardinia down to the Gulf of Cagliari is our tour destination today. The way there leads us through a paradise of curves along the coast until we turn into the canyon of the Rio di Cannas. Over San Nicolo Gerreigeht it goes curvy past the ghost town Cairo back to our hotel.
Day 6: Day of rest.
Day at leisure ... to, for example, just relax on the beach or take a short boat trip across the Lagoon Lake Stagno di Tortolì.
Day 7: Tour to our second base hotel on the west coast.
It is time to change location in order to get to know the other regions of Sardinia. Passing the Lago del Flumendosa we head towards the west coast to the Costa Verde. We cross the narrow gauge of the famous Sardinian railway line again and again, which meanders adventurously over bridges and tunnels through the mountainous landscape.
Day 8: The northwest.
On this day we ride a good distance north along the beautiful cliffs towards Alghero, famous for its old town with its beautiful harbour. There we have time to look around a bit. Afterwards we ride on curvy roads a little further inland back to the hotel.
Day 9: Costa Verde.
Towards the south we ride along the Costa Verde, unlike in the east, steep and rocky, often untouched and lonely, past the old mining sites of Montevecchio, which show us a picture of past industry. Via Buggeru and the beach di Mesua we enter the valley of the Riu di Antas. In an endless serpentine curvature (partly this route is also used for mountain races) it goes back to our hotel.
Day 10: Arrival in Porto Torres.
It's goodbye to the West Coast. But not without enjoying the island as a motorcyclist's paradise once again.
Day 11: Return journey to Weil am Rhein.
After leaving the ferry, we travel through Italy and Switzerland back to our intermediate hotel Ott's Leopoldshöhe in Weil am Rhein.
Day 12: Journey home.
Joint or individual return journey to Krefeld or home.
