The Alpine chain keeps cold winds at bay, Mediterranean air currents from the south pamper the valleys and lakes with soothing warmth. The shores of Lake Maggiore, Lake Lugano and, not to forget, Lake Como are littered with palm trees. Beautiful cities such as Ascona at the foot of Lake Maggiore, where the famous and impressive valleys "Val de Maggia" and "Val de Verzasca" rise above the mountain peaks of Ticino.

Picturesque terraced villages, such as "Gandria" or "Vico Morcote", as well as the city of Lugano with its "Piazza della Riforma" reflect southern charm. There is a Swiss and an Italian part.

Motorbike tours around Lake Maggiore remain in your memory. The diversity of the area, once alpine-like, then the gentle hills and valleys with their Mediterranean influences; unsurpassed and unique!

Of course we also make a side trip to Lake Como, passing Villa d'Este along the shore to the metropolis of Como.

We are looking forward to you to experience more together.

Day 1: Arrival at the intermediate hotel.

Departure at 7.00 a.m. at the rest stop Geismühle West (A57) in southern direction to our intermediate hotel in Rheinfelden.

Alternatively you can join the group on the way or travel to Rheinfelden on your own.

Day 2: To the first base hotel.

Today we will ride on a somewhat longer stage to our first base hotel on Lake Maggiore. In doing so, we avoid the motorways in Switzerland, so that no vignette is required.

Among others, we cross the Glaubenbühlenpass and the Grimselpass.

Day 3: The western shore of Lake Maggiore.

After breakfast we will tackle the western shore of Lake Maggiore. Via Cannobio and Ascona with its unique promenade, we ride into the Valle Verzasca and Valle Maggia, before we continue to our base hotel after a detour via Ponte Brolla, Santa Maria Maggiore and the port of Cannobio.

Day 4: Lake D'Orta and the Monte Fenera National Park.

It goes to the Lago d'Orta, which is small and dreamy between the mountains. Then we will ride through the Monte Fenera National Park along a beautiful and unusual route into the mountains and back to the base hotel.

Day 5: Three-Lakes Tour.

On the way to our second intermediate hotel at the north-eastern shore of the Lago Di Como we first cross the Lago Maggiore by ferry today. Afterwards the tour continues along the Lago Di Lugano to Como. From here we take the winding and very beautiful route over Monte San Primo, situated between the two southern arms of Lake Como. Along the eastern shore of the Lago Di Como we will then ride to our hotel, beautifully located directly on the lakeside.

Day 6: Bergamasque Alps.

On this day, we will travel through the Bergamasque Alps east of Lago Di Como, crossing the 1985-meter-high Passo San Marco. Although not nearly as high, also the Passo Culmine San Pietro and the Passo Agueglio are absolute highlights of this tour, at the end of which we ride alongside the Lago Di Como back to our base hotel.

Day 7: From Colico to Lake Constance.

Today we leave Lago Di Como and ride, among other things, over the Splügen Pass, through the famous Viamala Gorge and through the Appenzell region to our last intermediate hotel on the north shore of Lake Constance.

Day 8: Return journey.

Joint or individual return journey to Krefeld or home.

We reserve the right to change the programme, route or hotel.
