The Black Forest High Road, Lake Mummelsee and Schwarzenbach Dam with their biker meetings speak for themselves here, as they are the epitome of the northern Black Forest. Even the Kandel, the witches' hole and some more delicacies we will experience, but that is not all, finally there are still many small streets which are worth to explore.
Day 1: Individual arrival in Appenweier
If required, pick up of the rental motorcycle, getting to know each other and briefing
Day 2: Around the northern Black Forest (valleys, wine and heights)
On the Baden Wine Route we ride via Kappelrodeck, the seat of the Hex von Dasenstein, and the pretty flower, wine and half-timbered village of Sasbachwalden to Baden-Baden, then via the Rote Lache into the Murg valley to Forbach. Kaltenbronn, Baiersbronn and Freudenstadt, with the largest market place in Germany, are further stops before we reach the Kinzig valley with the half-timbered and tannery town of Schiltach, where it is also worthwhile to stretch your feet. The rafting town of Wolfach is another stop before we cross the Schönberg Pass to Lahr and back on the wine route. (... about 270km)
Day 3: Over All Saints' Day to the devil's mill
Through the Rench and Lierbach valleys we come to All Saints' Day with the monastery ruins and the waterfall before we reach the Black Forest High Road, the first panoramic road, which always offers magnificent views of the Vosges and the Rhine plain. The legendary Mummelsee is worth a photo stop, as is the Schwarzenbach dam. On the way to the devil's mill we can also stretch our feet on the short footpath to the devil's hole, an interesting rock formation. Passing the Nagoldstausee we come to Freudenstadt and Bad Rippoldsau to head for the quarter again via the Schwarzwaldhochstraße. ( about 260km)
Day 4: Through the witches hole to the Hex vom Dasenstein
Today we cross the northern and central Black Forest. Via Löcherberg, Strittberg and Gscheid we reach Waldkirch, from where we take a highlight, the Kandel from the north side. With a dream route it continues, via St. Peter and St. Märgen, with always wonderful views, into the Hexenloch, to Dreistegen. Furtwangen, Prechtal and Wolftal are further stages before we wish the Hex vom Dasenstein a good evening in Kappelrodeck. ( about 280km)
Day 5: Departure day
After about 800km of everyday escape, it is time to say goodbye and everyone starts their individual journey home with new energy.
But shhh, that's all we'll say, so just take a peek!
