The tour begins in the metropolis of Cape Town, first making a detour along the coast eastwards, to the Cape of Good Hope, via the dream road Chapmans Peak and the deep green wine region around Stellenbosch. The landscape of the next few days is in contrast to this, as we head north on the west side through the Cederberg Mountains and the dry, wide Namaqualand. With the border crossing to Namibia another world opens up, the endless expanses of the Namib Desert, the wild horses at Aus and the tranquil coastal town of Swakopmund make every day exciting and varied. The roads are more and more often solid sand and pushed gravel roads. You will visit the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site Sossusvlei and make a stop in the capital Windhoek. For the way back you take the inland route through the Kalahari with its endless red dunes. Enjoy the view in the mighty Fish River Canyon before heading back to South Africa and Cape Town through ever greener regions.
This tour is initially planned for 14 days. Your individual motorcycle tour through South Africa will be designed exactly for the duration of your journey. We are happy to work out the itinerary for the days available to you - please contact us for an exact offer!
