Within seven days we ride the most beautiful passes of Romania - Transfagaras, Transalpina, Alpina des Banat, Donaudefilee' and some nice roads in between.

Should you need a room in Vienna for the day of arrival and departure, we will be happy to help you.
You would like to travel to the first hotel by car & trailer or van and park there for two weeks? Also no problem - let us know!
Single room supplement:
The supplement is not exactly small. The reason is that in Romania, like in the USA, room prices are charged instead of prices per person (but at least they are "normal" large double rooms for single use). But if you are alone, you can of course share the room with another person who is also travelling alone. If you are interested, just let us know and we will bring you together with another roommate who is also travelling alone. In this case you will of course stay in double rooms with two single beds!
A word about the Covid 19 situation:
In our opinion it is not to be expected that 2021 tours will be cancelled due to closed borders. No European country would be able to financially cope with another "tourism zero round". So you will find possibilities, the tours will take place. But what about your safety?
|To 70% you sit alone at your bike and turn around on lonely country and mountain roads. The other 30% you spend almost exclusively in your group. At home we have public transportation, supermarkets, pick up children and grandchildren from kindergarten and school, have customer traffic at our work places,... - so the stark contrast! Furthermore, we spend 90% of our time outside (thanks to midsummer). Maybe you are safer on our tour than at home. Our Julitour 2020, which we could still do, showed that. And there is some time for some sightseeings too. The daily stages are chosen in such a way that it is a tour for every hobby motorcyclist and not a "motor sport event" where you fall into bed exhausted every evening. This should be an enjoyable and by all means not stressful trip. To make you fit again after the daily riding fun, we will of course stay overnight only in top hotels on this tour and of course our support vehicle will transport your luggage so that you can ride down all bends on your bike in a relaxed way - the tour is a road tour and suitable for all motorcycle types (also for sports bikes).
In order to avoid the arrival traffic as much as possible, we start on Sunday. This makes it easier for motorcyclists from more distant places to travel to and from the airport. The tour starts directly in Romania / Timisoara. So those who arrive by car and trailer can save the boring first day on the Hungarian motorway and ride through Romania by car. All those who arrive by motorcycle can choose their desired speed and their desired break intervals on the Hungarian highway without having to look for someone else.
The first meeting is at 7 pm in the lobby of the first hotel. Of course you will get a roadbook for this day, which will guide you exactly to the hotel. We will also be happy to organise joint journeys for you. Your luggage will be picked up at the hotel in Vienna and does not have to be transported on the bike (postal delivery from/to Vienna is also possible). If you arrive by car and trailer, you can park safely at the hotel in Timisoara during your holiday (please make an appointment in advance).
Day 1 - Sunday: Vienna - Timisoara
Daily distance approx. 550 km
As mentioned, today is dedicated to the journey to Romania - you are on the motorway the whole time. This boring necessity is handled by everybody in his own way - whether fast and continuous or slow with many breaks, whether on the motorcycle or in the car with trailer. In any case, your road book will guide you safely to our first hotel. We meet at 7pm in the lobby and get to know each other over a good dinner. Now the fun can start!
Day 2 - Monday: Timisoara - Eselnita
Daily distance approx. 250 km
We start the first day with a little orgy of curves. The "Transalpina of the Banat" is not nearly as high as its big sister, which we will ride, but it is much more curvy. So our tour starts right away, as a motorcyclist can only wish. Our day's destination is a dreamlike hotel right next to the Danube at the Iron Gate.
Day 3 - Tuesday: Eselnita - Targu Jiu
Daily distance approx. 200 km
In the morning we take a small boat trip at the Iron Gate and visit the famous stone carved king Decebal. Afterwards we ride a few more kilometers along the Danubefillee and stop at the monastery Tismana (a monastery must have been seen on a trip to Romania, some travel here only because of the monasteries). At our day's destination Targu Jiu you can either admire the works of art of the famous sculptor Brancusi, or relax in the hotel with a beautiful pool landscape. There is also a top restaurant waiting for us!
Day 4 - Wednesday: Jiu - Sibiel
Daily distance approx. 220 km
Another dream day in every biker's life - "Big Mama" is waiting for us - the Transalpina and the famous Pass Urdele. It is the highest pass road in the Carpathians and therefore the highest in Romania. 2145m above sea level guarantee us wonderful views and unforgettable impressions. In the evening the next highlight is waiting for us. We spend the night in the small village of Sibiel on farms (will be divided between different farms). For dinner we will invite you to a typical Romanian evening with country specialities, wine and tuica. There will be (not too much) folklore and music
Day 5 - Thursday: Sibiel - Bran
Daily distance approx. 220 km
Over beautiful country roads and a small pass it goes to the Dracula Castle of Romania - Bran Castle. In the merchant village at the foot of the castle you can stock up on Romanian sights and souvenirs to your heart's content. In the evening you can either stroll around the town or relax in the pool for the next day.
Day 6 - Friday: Bran - Sibiu
Daily distance approx. 270 km
Today an ingenious motorcycle track is waiting for us. And ingenious is an understatement, because we ride the Transfagaras, probably the most famous pass in Romania and chosen among the 10 most beautiful motorcycle routes on earth. Unbelievable impressions are waiting for you, which can hardly be captured on photos. A must in the life of every motorcyclist! There is also a good chance that a bear crosses our path - there are some of them in southern Fagaras. For lunch we invite you to a lavish farmer picnic (all specialities bought from the farmers on the mountain) Our destination for the day is Sibiu, a beautiful small town and one of the cultural centres of Romania. A stroll, for which we have enough time, will convince you.
Day 7 - Saturday: Sibiu - Timisoara
Daily distance approx. 280 km
Over slightly curvy foothills of the Carpathians, we return today to Timisoara. If we have time, we will visit the city centre, because Timisoara is also one of the most beautiful cities in Romania.
Day 8 - Sunday: Timisoara - Vienna
Daily distance approx. 550 km
You can ride home on your own - but if you wish, you can of course transport your luggage in the accompanying vehicle to Vienna, from Timisoara to Vienna, the motorway runs non-stop, everyone rides when they want to and can choose their own speed - how it started, it ends.
Well, that's that!
One final note:
We know Romania like the back of our hand for more than a decade and we didn't just ride a few streets to offer you this and 37 other destinations in our overall program. We are specialists in Romania, we only have this country in our offer and that for a very long time.
For a successful tour you need more - food, entertainment, tips, knowledge about the lifestyle, stories and anecdotes of the country, fun and entertainment in the evenings... Simply the whole package!
There are no "family pensions" and "nice middle-class hotels" in our country. We stay in the best possible houses at every place to offer you the best possible comfort after a beautiful but maybe exhausting ride.
In the last twelve years we have guided many motorcyclists who were really satisfied by us and the country Romania.
