DAY 1: Welcome to Cambodia!

You’ll be met at the airport and transported to your hotel in a Cambodian tuk tuk. The day is yours to spend at your leisure, but if time permits we’d strongly recommend visiting the spectacular temples around Angkor Wat, a UNESCO world heritage site.

You’ll be met by your guide later in the afternoon who will brief you of the trip ahead before treating you to a welcome dinner along the world famous ‘Pub Street’.

Accommodation: 5* hotel.

Included meals: Welcome dinner.

DAY 2: Siem Reap – Battambang 185km

Leaving the city behind, we’ll head west towards the Thai border, stopping along the way at a buddhist pagoda to receive a good luck blessing from the local monks.

We’ll ride a variety of dirt roads, tarmac and winding trails as we ride alongside rivers and through tiny Cambodian villages. We’ll meet with our support vehicle for a western style picnic lunch before cutting the corner of the Tonle Sap lake and continuing to the old French colonial town of Battambang. You may even have the chance to sample some of the local rice paddy rats at one of the roadside BBQs! Mmmmm – tasty barbecued rat – tastes just like chicken, of course…

Accommodation: Hotel with a pool.

Included meals: Breakfast, lunch.

DAY 3: Battambang – Pramaouy 175km

We start the day by visiting Phnom Sampeau, a small mountain home to the sobering ‘Killing Caves’, a hill top temple & some very large guns. It’s an interesting yet chilling experience as you learn more about the brutal recent history of Cambodia. It’s then time for a refreshment break where we shall eat some fresh mango whilst fending off the nearby thieving monkeys.

We’ve got some awesome trail riding today too, from fast paced dirt roads, steep rocky hills, river crossings and winding dirt tracks that climb up into the Cardamom Mountains providing breathtaking views across the hills.

We stay in the tiny mountain town, Pramaouy. Dinner will be a massive BBQ feast at the guesthouse. But first, why not join the locals for a game of bowls, or take a stroll into the little town to sample some of the local dumplings?

Accommodation: Basic guesthouse in a small mountain town.

Included meals: Breakfast, lunch.

DAY 4: Pramaouy – Koh Kong 160km

The day kicks off with a stunning dirt road that winds up and down through the hills followed by a water crossing on tiny wooden rafts. Then into the jungle to ride the awesome 20km ‘Tiger’s Trail’! Tight singletrack, creek crossings, rocky hills and possibly fallen trees you need to duck under / carry your bike over. Our support vehicle will be waiting at the end of the trail with some much needed refreshments!

After lunch we will pay a quick visit to a local waterfall before cruising out of the mountains on a mix of exhilarating dirt and concrete roads.

Accommodation: Riverside Hotel.

Included meals: Breakfast, lunch.

DAY 5: Koh Kong – Chiphat 130km

Today we have either a difficult or an easy option. The harder route tackles the old ‘Smugglers Trail’. Steep and technical rocky hills, lots of quirky bridges, river crossings, bamboo jungle and some really fun single track trails – perfection! The easy route sticks to the beautiful smooth roads that wind through the mountains, stopping at the impressive Tatai waterfall on the way out. Late afternoon we will take cold beers down to the river / rapids for a swim.

Accommodation: Stilted straw-roof bungalows.

Included meals: Breakfast, lunch.

DAY 6: Chiphat – Kirirom 140km

An incredible start to the day as we jump straight onto the dirt, ride across multiple rivers, across open plains, tight singletrack and winding dirt roads through sugarcane plantations. After meeting our support vehicle for lunch we climb into the hills around Kirirom National Park and enjoy an incredible afternoon of trails through jungle and pine forests.

Accommodation: Resort with a pool.

Included meals: Breakfast, lunch.

DAY 7: Kirirom – Phnom Penh 145km

It’s the final day of this dirt bike tour of Cambodia and we’ll get straight onto the trails that wind through the pine forests – this is enduro riding heaven, and you’ll be sad the riding is now coming to an end!

We’ll finish with celebratory beers back at base before hopping in tuk tuks that will take us over to an excellent hotel that has the best rooftop swimming pool in the city!

Accommodation: 4* hotel with a rooftop pool.

Included meals: Breakfast, lunch.

DAY 8: Departure Day

Before leaving Cambodia we would strongly recommend a visit to some of the sights around the capital city. The Killing Fields and the S21 Genocide Museum – while by no means fun – are incredibly interesting and eye opening… after witnessing the ‘real Cambodia’ as you’ll have done for the past week, visiting these sights will really amaze you.

Cambodia and it’s people are simply incredible, and now you’ll fully understand why!

Accommodation: Not included.

Included meals: Breakfast.
