Description

The Pure Harley Tour connects 2 oceans on breathtaking coastal roads. At the Atlantic Ocean the Chapmans Peak Drive, which leads to the Cape of Good Hope and at the Indian Ocean the famous Garden Route (South Africa). Along the way, POIs are dotted around the island, such as Hermanus, which is a Mecca for whale watchers, where you can see the large marine mammals before reaching L'Agulhas, the southernmost point in Africa, where we meet the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.

On the way to Port Elizabeth we cross the Bloukrans Bridge, with 216m the highest bungee jump in the world. During a full day game drive through the Addo Elephant National Park you have the opportunity to see some of the "5 big ones": lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffalo.

After the Addo N.P. we head inland to Graaff Reinett, the capital of the Great Karroo or Land of Thirst, as the Khoikhoi call this huge, semi arid, central plateau. Here we will visit the Valley of Desolation. Oudtshoorn, where we make another stop, is the ostrich capital of the world. Here we will learn more about these large birds, explore the world famous Cango Caves and then continue through the Little Karroo. Via Route 62, which is said to be the longest wine route in the world, along the northern slopes of the Langeberg Mountain Range, we return to the heart of the wine region, after Stellenbosch, South Africa's second oldest town.

After 14 days on the "Harley Tour to the Cape of Good Hope" we have to part with the Big V-Twin, but we can live on the multitude of impressions and experiences for a long time.
