From Abancay we continue on amazing Andes mountain roads with some cliffhanger sections with step canyons and high passes. The roads are narrow and with little traffic making the experience more delightful. At night we stay in Ayacucho.

Day 4: Ayacucho to Huacachina (340 km)

We finish our descend from the high mountains down toward the Pacific coastal line and reach Huacachina in the coastal desert, a tiny, oasis town surrounded by tall sand dunes. We take a pure joy ride in a V8 buggy in the evening to see the sunset and sand board down the dunes.

Day 5: Huacachina to Nazca (150 km)

A short ride to historic Nazca where we have a Cessna plane waiting to take us into the sky to see the ancient figures in the Peruvian desert. Not much is known about the origin of the figures. Some claim its made by Aliens. You can judge by yourselves.

Curves, curves, curves. Get ready to scrape your knees as we continue in the mountains up towards Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. We will visit the floating island of the Uro indians that inspired the build of the Kon-Tiki expedition across the Pacific in 1947.
