Description
A week of Enduro riding through Costa Rica
This tour takes you through the dynamic landscapes of Costa Rica, past the Pacific Coast, and through the jungle. Besides the enduro tours, you will also take part in numerous other activities such as rafting or sightseeing. Since the package already includes 7 nights half board and 6 guided enduro day tours, you don’t need to worry about anything. Below, you can see what awaits you on which day:
Day 1: Arrival in Santa Ana
Upon your arrival at San Jose airport, you will be transported to the Hotel Posada Nena by our driver. There, you can expect a cool drink while having enough time to meet your tour guide and your fellow travelers.
Day 2: Santa Ana - Santa Cruz de Turrialba
The first day is purely dedicated to enduro riding. We begin our tour about 1000 m above sea level, where we ride along picturesque high mountain roads and pass the famous coffee plantations of Costa Rica. Around noon, we will cross Cartago, the former capital of Costa Rica. After that, the landscape changes dramatically, to a moon-like terrain where we begin the circumnavigation of the volcano Turrialba on our enduros. We spend the night at the Hotel Goyabo in Santa Cruz de Turroalba.
Day 3: Santa Cruz - Pacuare River
We start the day with a ride through a huge coffee plantation whose coffee production plant we will visit. Then, we head towards Turrialba, from where we continue towards Tres Equis. Here, we park our enduros and start our rafting tour and after a two-hour tour, we arrive at the base camp. From there, we go to the Pacuare Lodge where we spend the night.
Day 4: Pacuare River - Tarbaca
In the morning, we start with an action-rich river tour through one of the most beautiful areas of the world. During the 4 hour descent, we see beautiful landscapes - we ride down waterfalls, pass canyons, overcome rapids and cross the jungle, just to name a few. At the end of the river, we switch back to our enduros and continue through the rainforest, passing sugarcane plantations. From here, we will have a unique view of the Central Valley. We will spend the night at Colinas Alta Vista Hotel.
Day 5: Tabarca - Manuel Antonio
In the morning, we will commence our enduro ride through wonderful valleys towards the Pacific Coast. Around lunchtime, we will arrive at a farm located at an altitude of 2400 m and enjoy a delicious meal. Then, we will continue our ride towards the Pacific Coast, enjoying the untouched nature and fascinating vegetation of the rainforest. In the evening, we will arrive at the beautiful coastal town of Manuel Antonio, where we will spend the night at the Hotel Verde Mar.
Day 6: Manuel Antonio - Hermosa beach
On the penultimate riding day of our enduro tour, we will start our day tour with a ride to an isolated and unspoiled beach. On the way there, we will experience overwhelmingly beautiful vegetation and enjoy spectacular views. Leaving the phenomenal beach, we will head towards Jaco, where you can explore the city on your own or hike one of the many picturesque hiking trails in the coastal mountains. We will stay at the Marea Brava Hotel in a villa right at the beach.
Day 7: Playa Hermosa - San José
On the last day of our enduro journey, we will cross the beautiful Central Valley while riding back to San José. The night will be spent at the Colinial Hotel.
Day 8: San José - International Airport
You will be brought to Juan Santamaría International Airport according to your flight time.
