Breakfast - if offered by the hotels (A frank word on the subject of breakfast in the USA: We would like to point out that breakfast as an included service in American or Canadian hotels is not a matter of course. There are all different varieties of breakfast. Some hotels offer coffee and some kind of roll, toast or a piece of cake, plus maybe some jam. If one is lucky, there is some fruit or dairy products. Some accommodations only offer coffee with a coffee maker in the room. Other hotels offer a varied breakfast. Many hotels decide in the middle of the season to launch this service, to abolish it or even to change it. There is generally everywhere a possibility to buy breakfast for little money. We write in the services "Partial breakfast", because we can not guarantee which hotel all of a sudden decides for it or against it). |

So that everything is clear in advance: Our partner requires the specification of a substitute desired machine mandatory at the time of booking and gives us a MOTORCYCLE CLASS GUARANTEE. This means that we will confirm your initial request (if available on the day of booking) and as an alternative a guarantee within the booked / requested category. |
Class mix in booking is not allowed. |
OPTIONAL MOTORCYCLE MODEL GUARANTEE: If the desired model is available, our partner will confirm the booking for the desired model, however, he reserves the right to offer an alternative model from the same category, if your desired model is not available. This can happen, for example, if the previous renter returned the motorcycle with damage. If choosing a specific model is very important to you, then this model will be guaranteed to you for an extra charge of 125 EUR per rental. |

An honest word among bikers: |
With the next lines we would like to prepare you in the best way for the adventure of your life. You are either about to book one of the most beautiful types of travel, or you have already done so. The biggest difference between our type of holiday and a general package tour is that you are actively involved. Riding a motorcycle is one of the best things in life. At least for us bikers. The focus of the trip is motorcycling through unique landscapes. We have designed the programs in such a way that both riding fun and experience are present in sufficient quantity. Team spirit and adaptation in the group are absolutely necessary just as you need to bring a certain basic fitness and experience so that we can reach the destination together happy and healthy. If you have any doubts about your health, fitness or experience levels, please contact us beforehand. We want to achieve the best holiday experience for you too. The daily stages are on average 250 - 400 kilometers long. That sounds a lot, but it can't be compared to the same route in Europe, considering that there are often 80 kilometers without passing through a town and a whole day without traffic lights during the program. There are also hardly any traffic jams. We are rarely in the saddle for more than five hours throughout the day. We reach our daily destination between 4 - 6 p.m., depending on the season. Depending on the weather and daily temperatures, it can happen that we have to leave a little earlier or reach our daily destination later. However, if we want to experience a picture book sunset with full intention, it will be a little later. |
- |
Insurance: |
We generally recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. |
- |
Upon request: |
1/2 double rooms can be booked upon request. If a 1/2 double room is already available, we will confirm t to you in your booking. If the 1/2 double room is not available at that very moment, then we will confirm a single room first. As soon as we have a booking for the second half of the room, we will immediately credit you the single room surcharge. |

Description
The journey takes us past many historic places that have also become famous thanks to Hollywood.
Experience with us on the saddle of a Harley Davidson® for example the most beautiful stops on Route 66 and the fascinating Canyon de Chelly. Further on we will visit the landmark of the West, the Monument Valley as well as the Mesa Verde National Park. As the motorcycle routes par excellence, we ride the Million Dollar Highway and Independence Pass. The Colorado National Monument and much more round off this dream tour.
The impressive nature and the dream routes in the mountains will "slay" you.
Due to the nature of the route, this tour is only suitable for good motorcyclists and pillion riders.
Tour itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Las Vegas
You will fly with a renowned airline from Frankfurt to Las Vegas. Your tour guides will be waiting for you at the airport and take you to your centrally located hotel. There you will be informed about the schedule of the next day during a welcome drink.
Day 2: Las Vegas - Motorcycle pick-up, 30 km
The morning is at your free disposal. TIP: Visit the Strip with the theme hotels or go shopping. We will be happy to give you advice and assistance in this regard. In the early afternoon, after a briefing, we will pick up the motorcycles at the rental station in Las Vegas. To get accustomed we will ride along the famous Las Vegas Boulevard. Overnight stay in Las Vegas. Tour length approx. 30 kilometers.
Day 3: Las Vegas - Hoover Dam - Laughlin, 250 km
The adventure begins. First, we visit the famous Hoover Dam and the Eldorado Gold Mine, which is known after several movies. Then we cruise south towards our destination of the day, Laughlin, on the Arizona border. Tour length approx. 250 kilometers.
Day 4: Laughlin - Historic Route 66 - Williams, 375 km
The day is dedicated to the old Route 66. We ride to Williams. On the way, we pass through Oatman, Kingman, Seligman, and Williams. Overnight stay in Williams. Tour length approx. 375 km.
Day 5: Flagstaff - Route 66 - Gallup, 335 km
Today is our last day on Route 66. We pass the town of Winslow, already sung by the Eagles with "take it easy" before we visit the old "Jackrabbit Trading Post". Afterward, we visit the Petrified Forest National Park and Holbrook. Overnight in the old railroad and native town of Gallup. Tour length: approx. 335 km
Day 6: Gallup - Canyon de Chelly, 200 km
The next days are full of stories about indigenous communities. We leave Route 66 and ride to Chinle. This town is located in the middle of the Navajo Nation Reservation and borders directly on the Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The name means "rock canyon" in the Navajo language. In the three main canyons there are numerous evidences of human settlements, which points to the first settlement about 4500 years ago. The Spider Rock (two rock needles about 240 meters high) is the landmark of the Canyon de Chelly. In this fascinating canyon, we take a guided tour (optional) with a Navajo guide. Overnight stay in Chinle. Tour length: approx. 200 km
Day 7: Canyon de Chelly - Monument Valley - Bluff, 225 km
One highlight follows the next. We leave Chinle in the morning and ride north to Kayenta. Our next dream destination is the world-famous Monument Valley. Here we also have the opportunity to take a jeep tour into the valley (optional). Here the famous director John Ford shot countless western movies with John Wayne. But also more recent film productions have been shot here, like "Back to the Future" or 2013's "Lone Ranger" with Johnny Depp. We stay overnight in the San Juan/Bluff area. Tour length: approx. 225 km
Day 8: Bluff - Four Corners Point - Cortez, 150 km
This morning's attraction is Four Corners Point - the only point in the USA where four borders come together - with legs and arms kneeling at the same time in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Our next destination is the town of Cortez, the gateway to Mesa Verde National Park. Overnight stay in Cortez. Tour length: approx. 150 Km
Day 9: Cortez - Mesa Verde National Park - Durango, 135 km
In the morning we will visit this world heritage site, the Mesa Verde N.P. The name is Spanish and means green table mountain/green table. The Mesa Verde N.P. is the most important archaeological site in the USA. Approximately 4,000 archaeological sites have been found in the national park. Mesa Verde was designated a National Park in 1906 to protect the archaeological heritage of the original inhabitants of the United States. Our route continues to Durango, a city with great railroad history. Overnight stay in Durango. Tour length: approx. 135 Km
Day 10: Durango - Million Dollar Highway - Ridgway, 135 km
Every day the way is the goal, but today especially. The route is called US Hwy 550 or "Million Dollar Highway" because it is said to have cost a million dollars per mile. The road leads us up and down through breathtaking areas, over three passes, and around 3400 meters of altitude. The fascinating thing about the seemingly endless curves is that there are hardly any road limits. We will have a break in Silverton, at an altitude of almost 3000 meters and another one in Ouray, before we reach our destination for today, Ridgway. Ridgway has become famous through Hollywood, for example as the filming location for "True Grit" with John Wayne or later with Jeff Bridges. Ridgway also served as a filming location for "That Was the Wild West" (How The West Was Won). Overnight stay in the Ridgeway area. Tour length: approx. 135 km
Day 11: Ridgway - Black Canyon of the Gunnison - Grand Junction, 380 km
Strengthened by breakfast in Ridgeway (here we have a secret tip) we ride on further dream roads of the region. Our next attraction is the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park with its impressively deep gorge carved by the Gunnison River. Our destination for the day is Grand Junction, a nice town that is also known for its excellent wines. Overnight stay in Grand Junction. Tour length: approx. 285-380 Km
Day 12: Grand Junction - Glenwood Springs, 300 km
Today we leave Grand Junction and make our way to Glenwood Springs. In the morning we visit another National Park, the Colorado National Monument. Even the subsequent ride on I-70 is a beautiful motorcycle route. Our destination for the day, Glennwood Springs is still a hot springs resort. Probably the most famous guest here was Doc Holiday, one of the legendary gunslingers of the Wild West. Overnight stay in Glennwood Springs. Tour length: approx. 150-300 Km
Day 13: Glenwood Springs - Aspen - Independence Pass - Colorado Springs, 320 km
In winter the area is teeming with skiers and in summer the motorcyclists come to the "Top of the Rockies" Highway. We ride through Aspen and slowly but surely reach 3686 m altitude and thus the highest point of our tour, the Independence Pass. A great route that ends today in Colorado Springs, the second-largest city in Colorado. Overnight stay in Colorado Springs. Tour length: approx. 320 km
Day 14: Colorado Springs - Denver, 120 km
Today's route is not long, because we want to arrive in Denver in time to bring our bikes back and finish this dream tour there. Tour length: approx. 120 km
Day 15: Return flight
Transfer to the airport and return flight home.
Day 16: End of the dream tour
Arrival in Germany
