Over the Finnmarksvidda and along the Porsangerfjord we go to the North Cape island Magerøy to the North Cape Rock. In good weather a fantastic view over the Arctic Ocean.

The North Cape is not the northernmost point of Europe, but it is an important tourist destination. On the plateau of the North Cape, which rises almost 300 m steeply from the sea, there is an information center - the so-called "North Cape Hall". There is a restaurant, an ecumenical chapel, historical exhibitions, souvenir stores, and a post office where you can get a North Cape diploma stamped with the day's date. In summer there is midnight sun for about two and a half months, while in winter the sun does not get above the horizon even during the day for about two and a half months.

Tromsø is home not only to the northernmost university but also to the northernmost cathedral in the world. The city has several attractions, these are mostly closely related to the subpolar location of the city or nature. Not a sight in the strict sense, but an almost unique feature of the town is the public road tunnel system that runs through the entire island below the city, with its own signage and traffic routing.
