Cuckoo clocks, Bollenhut and fir forests, Titisee, Schluchsee and Feldberg are perhaps the most famous trademarks of the Black Forest, and are indeed strong tourist magnets.

Description
But for the connoisseur the Black Forest has much more to offer, especially if he is a motorcyclist. Off the beaten track there are endless winding roads that are just waiting to be discovered. Over wine roads and winding forest tracks you reach clear heights with wonderful views and distant views. So we will of course make a stop every now and then to let our eyes feast or to let the photographer's heart beat faster.

These tours are highly addictive. For risks and side effects read the tour description or speak to Simply Ride. We recommend one of our withdrawal tours.
Tour description:
Day 1: Individual arrival in St. Märgen
If required, pick up of the rental motorcycle, getting to know each other and briefing
Day 2: To the sources of the Danube
Beginning with the Brigach spring, we continue to the Martinskapelle, where a little below the European watershed the Breg, the 2nd source river of the Danube, has its source. Through the Bregtal we reach Donaueschingen, where we have a look into the source pot of the Danube, the 3. Danube Fountain, cast. Along the river we come to the Danube infiltration, at the dry summers, the Danube dries out almost completely. Not far after that follows the Danube breakthrough, with the towering limestone walls. Visit on the way back we still have the largest spring in Germany, the Aachtopf, where the percolated Danube water reappears. (... about 300km)
Day 3: Hegau, Lake Constance and Rhine Falls
After the volcanic landscape of the Hegau we pay a visit to the Swabian Sea, will take the ferry from Meersburg to Konstanz, the Gnadensee and Untersee ride along to the picturesque Swiss town of Stein am Rhein. Continue to the imposing Rhine Falls, which invites you to stop. After the grandiose natural spectacle
the base hotel again. (... about 300km)
Day 4: Through the witches hole to the Hex vom Dasenstein
Today we cross the northern and southern Black Forest. Via Löcherberg, Strittberg and Gscheid we reach Waldkirch, from where we take a highlight, the Kandel from the north side. With a dream route it continues, via St. Peter and St. Märgen, with always wonderful views, into the Hexenloch, to Dreistegen. Furtwangen, Prechtal and Wolftal are further stages before we wish the Hex vom Dasenstein a good evening in Kappelrodeck. ( about 280km)
Day 5: On the trail of the cuckoo clock
On today's tour we will take it a bit easier and want to see what makes the Black Forest so famous and popular. Today sightseeing is on the agenda. Through such famous wine villages as Durbach and Zell-Weierbach we reach Gengenbach, known for its closed medieval townscape. At the beginning of the Gutach valley we visit another widely known highlight, the open-air museum Vogtsbauernhof. Soon we stop at the world's largest working cuckoo clock and look around to see what makes the eyes of American and Asian guests light up: thousands of cuckoo clocks in various sizes and designs. After a short walk to the waterfalls in Triberg, we go to Furtwangen, where the history of the cuckoo clock is explained in the largest clock museum. The B500, the panorama road, brings us to Titisee and Schluchsee, from where we head for our 2nd base hotel. (... about 190km)
Day 6: The 8 thousand
You won't believe it, 8 grand in the Black Forest, there's plenty more. But today we take the best 8 thousand, or rather the one with the most beautiful curves under the wheels! To memorize, learn by heart or simply melt in your mouth, here they are:
.
- Belchen 1414m (the most beautiful)
- Blue 1165m (the most western)
- Feldberg 1493m (the highest)
- Herzogenhorn 1265m
- Schauinsland 1284m (with the fantastic view)
- Silver mountain 1358m
- Stübenwasen 1386m
- Dead man 1321m (the most remote)
.
To the tour description: curves, curves, view, curves, enjoy, wow! (... approx. 275km)
Day 7: To the saltpetre makers in the Hotzenwald
The valleys here in and around the Hotzenwald are wildly romantic, deeply indented, canyon-like forest valleys with steep rock faces and the narrow little roads wind their way between the stream and the rock face. On the bare mountain ridges you have a wonderful view over the High Rhine to the Swiss Alps. ( about 250km )
Day 8: Departure day
After about 1500km of new experiences, it is time to say goodbye and everyone starts their individual journey home. The riders with rental motorcycles ride back to the rental company together.
But shhh, that's all we'll say, so just take a peek!
