Description
The Premium Package includes airport transfer, luxury hotel, guided tours with our BMW R 1300 GS, beach, pure sunshine and culinary delights in a very idyllic fishing village - all winter long, from November to March.
Gran Canaria - The diverse island of the Canary Islands
Gran Canaria belongs to the Canary Islands and is located 1300 km from the Spanish mainland in the Atlantic Ocean (so it is not in the Mediterranean Sea). You will have plenty of time to explore the island far away from tourism with its diversity and one of the best microclimates. Gran Canaria has an extremely varied climate and topography. In winter, you can enjoy the pleasant temperatures along the coast, but you can also enjoy the beauty of nature at an altitude of almost 2000 metres in the interior.
A dream of a hotel
Recreation and enjoyment are not neglected: wellness, visits to top restaurants directly on the beach or in the harbour, excursions by ship or submarine or simply end the day with a sunset with a "snooze". These motorcycle holidays will remain in your best memory - and many book again the following year.
Own motorcycles
You will ride exclusively with BMW R 1300 GS motorcycles (2023 models). These are fully equipped, perfectly maintained, still have a few kilometres on the clock and stand for your comfort directly in the hotel's underground car park. Thanks to the Vario cases, you always have everything you need for the motorcycle tour with you. With a low chassis and low seat, there is also an ideal solution for smaller riders.
20 dates, small groups
From the beginning of November to the end of March, a total of 20 booking dates are available. So you can find the right date and stay flexible. You will be riding in small groups of maximum 4 riders or you can explore the island on your own. The tours are led by our BMW-certified tour guide. He is responsible for you during the entire time. He is your contact person on the tour with regard to safety, tour design and the repair of minor technical problems. He will show you the most beautiful places on the island, even if they are hidden.
The program
You will be picked up personally at the airport in Las Palmas and riden directly to the luxurious Hotel Cordial Playa in Puerto de Mogán. After a tasty welcome drink you will move into one of the beautiful rooms. In the evening there will be a short orientation at the hotel by the Swiss tour guide. He is a certified BMW Motorrad tour guide of the ITA.
There are always two groups with a maximum of four riders. Each participant rides a BMW R 1300 GS for three days. Additional days can be added depending on availability. The first two tours are led by the guide, the remaining days you can tackle on your own or be accompanied on request. On the day of departure our shuttle will take you directly to the airport.
Tour 1 - Route description:
The focus at the beginning of this route is to get to know and get used to the BMW R 1300 GS. We ride north in the valley to Pueblo Mogan before we take the very well built pass road towards Aldea. From the northwest coast our route takes us along reservoirs, through gorges and serpentines into the barren region of Gran Canaria. We visit the picturesque village of Tejeda in the heart of the island.
Afterwards we ride on a hill to the foot of the Roque Nublo. Whoever wants can climb this mountain, the view is breathtaking. A winding descent gives us a lot of fun back to the sea. On the coastal road we ride through countless curves and always the sea is in the angle of vision. This road leads us directly back to our starting point.
Tour 2 - suggested route:
This tour takes us east all along the coast, passing through Maspalomas and then turning inland. The road leads us into a valley where many people still live in their caves -- not a rarity on Gran Canaria. After the coffee break we overcome about 1800m height difference up to the highest point of the island. Far away from tourism we enjoy the spectacular view towards the south coast. A beautiful ride brings us to lunch. The terrace is located in a rock face with a view of the "Gran Canyon". A detour to the northern part shows us the diversity of the island. Suddenly everything is green. A winding and well-built road brings us back to the coast and back to the hotel.
Tour 3 - suggested route:
We start from Puerto de Mogan along the coast to Arguineguin. Then we head north and a beautiful pass road awaits us. At the beginning the road is quite well developed, but it becomes more and more adventurous. On the top of the pass we are rewarded with an enchanting view. We now ride all on an altitude road over 1200m inland through forests and rugged landscapes. We pass numerous small villages. Time seems to have stopped here. Our route now leads us to the north coast, there along the GC-200, always 100m above the sea. The breathtaking view always wants to distract us from the road. We stop for lunch with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. After Aldea we ride on a top developed road over the pass, which connects the north with the south. Here we can see almost the whole island. Leisurely we ride towards Puerto de Mogan and let the day end with a beer.
The hotel
You will stay in one of the best hotels on Gran Canaria, the Cordial Playa in Puerto de Mogán. The hotel complex is very spacious and promises total relaxation. It is divided into several 2- to 3-storey buildings and embedded in a beautiful palm garden. Several heated saltwater pools, bars and restaurants promise a relaxing holiday.
The numerous and beautifully decorated buffets leave nothing to be desired in culinary terms. A stylishly furnished wellness area invites you to relax and unwind. In the evening you can enjoy the hotel's entertainment programme and shows. Here privacy, class and style are very important.
A day nursery with its own entertainment programme is also offered, but the hotel is nevertheless described as rather quiet. The whole hotel complex is secured, monitored and you only get to your room with a badge. The motorcycles are parked in the hotel's underground garage and can be reached easily.
The motorcycle - BMW R 1300 GS
Now you have the exclusive opportunity to put the new BMW R 1300 GS through its paces for a week. Unlike other organizers who use rental bikes, our customers ride exclusively on our own fully equipped BMW R 1300 GS. The bikes are equipped with all additional packages (Comfort, Dynamic, Touring, Innovation, TFT Display) and are perfectly suited for Gran Canaria due to their various features. With DSA we can adjust different chassis heights and combine them with different seat benches, so that it fits you perfectly. All GS machines are available exclusively for our customers and are not rented locally. So the new BMW R 1300 GS's are super maintained, with little mileage and therefore in pristine condition.
